Just because God has an attribute or ability to do something does not automatically equate
into us being able to be or do the same thing simply because we are made in His image.

What needs to be explained? You say because God can do something, we can too because we were made in His image. That is quite simply wrong. God can create a whole universe by speaking and give it life. Can we do that? No, we cannot. Therefore your premise is flawed and quite simply wrong.
