My reply was concerning the claim that some use straw man arguments.

It had nothing to do with cajuns so you can relax.

No cajuns were harmed in the posting of my post about strawman arguments.

Jesus is a zionist.

He supports the existence and security of Israel being a nation occupying the land the Father promised to the descendants of Abraham. It was God's idea in the first place for the Jews to have the land.

Yep, I agree 110% with that. If you look up Zionist that is the definition. But as to the Zionist movement I don't know all the ins and outs, but on that point they are correct. People get pretty bent out of shape when I say that very thing, "God is a Zionist. "

God does not condone their rejection of Jesus as their Messiah, but He does support the Jews being in the land and He supports the existence of the modern state of Israel

I didn't get a chance to look at the link but I have always wonder why Jews and black people vote Dem
They are under the DELUSION that Democrats care about them, when all they want is to buy their voles. Now that the Democrats have shown their true colors, will all American Jews wake up and see that the Democrats hate them, while Trump loves them, loves Israeli Jews, and loves Israel?

He is the only president who insisted that Jerusalem should be the capital of Israel. And if Trump has been president, Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah would not have dared to do what they have done to Israel. Now the whole world stands by while the Houthis destroy Israeli and world shipping in the Red Sea. And Biden is really responsible.

As you probably noticed I clearly said that I was jumping on your straw man bandwagon.
And yet you were the one who started with the straw man, and mine was only a straw man if yours was. Ironic, huh?

God does not condone their rejection of Jesus as their Messiah, but He does support the Jews being in the land and He supports the existence of the modern state of Israel
Chapter and verse, please, or you're preaching heresy.

I saw that title and was expecting to see the reasons listed why the Jews hate our Savior so much.

No chapter and verse doesn't work with y'all. I've already done that and you still don't believe. You believe the church replaces the Jews. I can, and have, posted many Scriptures and you all still deny, Romans 11 alone should settle the argument. Not to push in and answer for someone else but it's the truth.

Antisemitism never ends well for those embracing it.
Good luck with that. Those that curse the descendants of Abraham are cursed.

God gave the land to the Jews and the gifts and callings of God are without repentance,
in other words He's not an indian giver.

When Jesus returns to the earth there is a modern days state of Israel that is about to be totally destroyed and He saves them from destruction and that is when they finally accept Jesus as their Messiah

Yes, I started with saying that you were using a straw man, which of course you did, so I simply responded to your straw man with another straw man. Ironic indeed.

That's everyone's go to thing when someone does not agree with therm - "you're using a strawman argument"

How come the ladies don't call this sexist and insist that sometimes it is a straw woman argument?

Romans 11 says nothing about the "modern state of Israel", and I consider it to be dishonest to pretend that it does. That your interpretation of the passage is that it refers to the "modern state of Israel" might be a more honest way to put this, but the passage itself necessitates no such extra-biblical belief.

Antisemitism never ends well for those embracing it.

Be careful what you say here. Jesus Himself declared some of the Pharisees to be the children of the devil, and states to such (Matthew 25:41) "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:"

If anyone is cursing Jews (or those who claim to be), it is you by presenting lies as the truth. Truth is a blessing, even if it's painful.

God gave the land to the Jews and the gifts and callings of God are without repentance, in other words He's not an indian giver.
If God gave the land to the Jews, let them prove they are Jews by accepting Jesus as Messiah.

I don't believe this to be true, but even if it is, it has nothing to do with obligating Christians to grant immunity to criminals for claiming to be "Jews".

I am thankful and pray each day that dispensationalism continues its slow demise. Everyday people are waking up to this faulty misinterpretation of the Holy Scripture created for a political purpose.

It has been the source of anguish and pain for all people across this planet.

Paul was addressing the Christians living in Rome, not you and the future events were in their future not ours.

I am continually amazed how anyone could think that God did not accomplish what He set out to accomplish.

The Messiah came and walked this planet, wept over Jerusalem, but wait we have Scofield telling us wait, wait, God still has to fulfill the promise of the land like Christ Jesus was not sufficient.

To me that is the highest heresy, the Temple was destroyed. Period!

Thank you.

I am so thankful for that day when the lights came on in my brain and realized how I had been lied to by mainstream dispensational Christianity.

I am also thankful that the deception in my mind was only on the surface and once I took the time to understand how to read scripture I realized the nonsensicalness of Scofield theology!
Someday these people will wake up, while they wait and wait but sadly a lot of damage will have been caused in the interim.

In the history of the Americas(not mentioned much in US history books, lol) is the explanation as to why. It's probably confusing at first but it's the very reason why I post in both threads about Jewish/Hebrew's and Hispanics and sometimes point to my family's Hebrew genealogy and in others the Hispanic "Judaeo-Spanish speaking Sephardim" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Jews_in_Mexico

And yet you are the one opposing me?

I said:
"God does not condone their rejection of Jesus as their Messiah, but He does support the Jews being in the land and He supports the existence of the modern state of Israel "

And you seem to think the Lord does not actually want the Jews in the land which is actual heresy since we know God promised in His Word that the land belongs to the descendants of Abraham.

It is you that has a problem with the Jews which is antisemitism.

Be careful what you say here.

I'm not the antisemite in this conversation.

Jesus still loves the Jews, but the antisemite wouldn't know that.

If God gave the land to the Jews, let them prove they are Jews by accepting Jesus as Messiah.

The Lord is being merciful to them because He is merciful.

The antisemites wouldn't know anything about that as they favor being harsh, UN-forgiving, and racist.

I don't believe this to be true

You not knowing what's going on is not my problem.

We needed a "groan" emoji for that one.

Just trying to look out for the ladies ya know.

I heard some ladies when they go to a restaurant and the waiter asks them "would you like a menu"

Some ladies tell the waiter, "uh, no that's for men! - I want to read something for the ladies"

Ok let's start with some Bible study.

Scripture has at least 170 references to the land that God gave to the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

God promised the land of Canaan to the Jews as an unconditional covenant – 55 times the Bible records that God confirmed the gift with an oath.

Twelve of those times He stated that the covenant was everlasting.

I'd say it's a pretty important subject in the scheme of things, wouldn't you?!

The Promised Land stretches from the Red Sea, around Eilat, as a southern boundary, to the Mediterranean at a point south of Gaza and extending from there up the coastline at least as far north as Sidon in Lebanon, to form the western boundary, then north to the Euphrates River, to form the northern boundary, and down the line of the Jordan River to form the eastern boundary.

If I were one of the countries against Israel right now, I would consider this fair warning.

JOEL 3:1-2
“In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning My inheritance, My people Israel, for they scattered My people among the nations and divided up My land.

Ready, here we go!

  1. The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your seed I will give this land.”
    [Genesis 12:7]
  2. “All the land that you see I will give to you and your seed forever.
    [Genesis 13:15]
  3. “Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”
    [Genesis 13:17]
  4. He also said to him: “I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it.”
    [Genesis 15:7]
  5. On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your seed I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates ...”
    [Genesis 15:18]
  6. “The whole land of Canaan, where you are now an alien, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your seed after you; and I will be their God.”
    [Genesis 17:8]
  7. “The Lord ... spoke to me (Abraham) and promised me on oath, saying, ‘To your seed I will give this land ...’”
    [Genesis 24:7] The promise continues...
  8. “... to you (Isaac) and your seed I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.
    [Genesis 26:3]
  9. “May He give you and your seed the blessing given to Abraham, so that you may take possession of the land where you now live as an alien, the land God gave to Abraham.”
    [Genesis 28:4]
  10. ... “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you (Jacob) and your seed the land on which you are lying.”
    [Genesis 28:13]
  11. “The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I also give to you (Jacob), and I will give this land to your seed after you.”
    [Genesis 35:12]
  12. Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty ... said to me ... ‘I will give this land as an everlasting possession to your seed after you.’”
    [Genesis 48:3-4]
  13. ... Joseph said ... “God will ... take you up ... to the land He promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
    [Genesis 50:24]
  14. “I also established My covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where they lived as aliens.”
    [Exodus 6:4]
  15. “And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession ...”
    [Exodus 6:8]
  16. “When you enter the land that the Lord will give you as He promised ...
    [Exodus 12:25]
  17. “When the Lord brings you into ... the land He swore to your forefathers to give you ...”
    [Exodus 13:5]
  18. “After the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites and gives it to you, as He promised on oath to you and your forefathers ...”
    [Exodus 13:11]

  1. “Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom You swore by Your own self: ‘... I will give your seed all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’”[Exodus 32:13]

Unconditional covenant, everlasting, not one seed but to "You and your seed". The promise was given to each generation. An oath God swore HIMSELF to keep!

20. .. the Lord said to Moses, “Leave this place, you and the people you brought up out of Egypt, and go up to the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your seed.’”
[Exodus 33:1]

21.“You will possess their land; I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God ...”
[Leviticus 20:24]

22. “See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the Lord swore He would give to your fathers – to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – and to their seed after them.”
[Deuteronomy 1:8]

23. “Because He loved your forefathers and chose their seed after them, He brought you out of Egypt by His Presence and His great strength, to drive out before you nations greater and stronger than you and to bring you into their land to give it to you for your inheritance, as it is today.”
[Deuteronomy 4:37-38]

24. “It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going in to take possession of their land; but on account of the wickedness of these nations, the Lord your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”
[Deuteronomy 9:5]

25. I declare today to the Lord ... that I have come to the land the Lord swore to our forefathers to give us.
[Deuteronomy 26:3]

God will begin to gather the Jewish people back to the Land He promised them.

(Is. 11:11-12 NASB) Then it will happen on that day that the Lord will again recover the second time with His hand the remnant of His people, who will remain, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12 And He will lift up a standard for the nations, and will assemble the banished ones of Israel, and will gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

(Jer. 31:38-40 NASB) “Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the city will be rebuilt for the LORD from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. 39“The measuring line will go out farther straight ahead to the hill Gareb; then it will turn to Goah. 40“And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the brook Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it will not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever.”

(Ezek. 37:11-12, 14, 21-22, 25 NASB) “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel… 12I will bring you into the land of Israel… 14I will put My Spirit within you and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken and done it,” declares the LORD… 21Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land 22and I will make them one nation in the land… 25They will live on the land that I gave to Jacob My servant, in which your fathers lived; and they will live on it, they, and their sons and their sons’ sons, forever; and David My servant will be their prince forever.

(Zech. 10:8-10 NASB) “I will whistle for them to gather them together, For I have redeemed them; And they will be as numerous as they were before. 9“When I scatter them among the peoples, They will remember Me in far countries, And they with their children will live and come back. 10“I will bring them back from the land of Egypt And gather them from Assyria; And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon Until no room can be found for them.
