I liked this song... had it on a cassette I made off radio broadcasts. The station was WLIR in NY. I remember walking through lower Manhattan... might've been the Brooklyn Bridge?? .. while playing this on my Walkman. Late summer of 1987 I believe.
Do you want to take a stab at it before I give the answer?

I broke the rule, and I looked it up. I missed a lot of good series that came out around that time. I watched Airwolf and Knight Rider just to see the jet copter and KITT and I was able to catch maybe one season of Miami Vice, for the fashion tips, but this show aired a year later ( it is rated .3 points better than Miami Vice) and this was about the time I took my first 'part-time' job getting 40/hrs week, while maintaining upwards of 11 credits of college prep courses, and so this, consequently, turned out to be my debutante year which I was totally unprepared for... Then, when all the debris was finally cleared, there isn't much I remember other than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. So, when I read your quote, it only reminded me, "When there's trouble, call Darkwing Duck!"
Hasslehoff and Kitt were the team.
You were a busy lady. School and full time work!
I have a Don Johnson/ Sonny Crockett sport jacket that I am thinking of donating to a thrift store. My boat and alligator are gone, so, but Summer's going to be here soon and some things just don't go out of style.
Henley shirts, sport jackets and...

...some things should.

While we're on the subject of singing duos, I'll add one to the mix. This will be a trivia . You can't ask Alexa or cheat. This couple performed in an 80s TV series in one episode. Hints, the episode featured a blind lady who was a music reviewer. She sat in during rehearsal of Ashford and Simpson, singing Count Your Blessings. Plot, she was the witness to a murder. Hmmm? Does that jog anyone's memory?

Any guesses.
No flippin' clue.

I read the synopsis and like that his services were 'free of charge.' I also saw the 'similar' examples offered at imdb showed only the Rockford Files series was rated .4 points higher than the Equalizer series. I think Dad kept up with that one because it seems familiar to me but that is a 70s series, where I tuned into the Love Boat and Fantasy Island around that time.

That's because it was McCall's ministry.

Fantasy Island wasn't exactly free though.
$50,000 for a 3 night stay. Adjusted for inflation, $177,000 today.

This would make it even more appealing.

Yes, Mr. Rourke struck me as a sort of benevolent Dracula, and I probably watched Fantasy Island to catch glimpses of the scenery and exotic flowers. Why I watched the Love Boat I really don't know unless it followed Happy Days or something like that. However, I do recall my good opinion of Capt. Stubing.

Its probably because of his accent. I don't know what country in Eastern Europe he was from, but maybe it was Transylvania?
🧛‍♂️

That and his white formal suits did kinda make him look like a benevolent count.
He also has his friendly Igor sidekick, Tattoo.
He must've gone deaf from pulling the rope under that bell. .Mine sure is loud.

There was a topic i saw today in the singles section called "Give it up" or something along those lines. I didn't read it but this song came to mind.

Also when my boss got fired a few years ago, i was playing this song in the office (everyone else could hear it).
Not a nice thing to do, because i almost felt like David when he asked God to strike his enemies to death.
We live and we learn.

I remember being in 9th grade and having a guy sit behind me in Latin class. His name was Jon-T. No reason to tell you that except I found it an interesting name. T wasn't his middle initial. His first name was literally Jon-T. Anyway, one day he whispered to me, "Hey. Do you like Heart?" I was confused for a second and said, "That depends." He said, "On what? The humidity???" I still laugh every time I hear this song and think about that time!
