As my pastor said when he read it, there's a LOT of information in it. You could have just scrolled down to see how long it is. It is a book, not a treatise.

And thru is actually in the dictionary
thru
[THro͞o]
preposition

  1. nonstandard spelling of through
Oh, well, there are a LOT of words in the dictionary I would hope one would not use as a Christian. So being
in the dictionary was not the consideration I mentioned, but the informal nature of it. If your intention is
to be informal and folksy, then there is not a problem at all. I counted the number of words and characters:

11,681 words; 63,832 characters. The page ends by saying, Permission granted to share and quote, but not edit.

I prefer to be a little folksy and informal. And I never knew that was unChristian. Thanks fer the heads-up.

So you counted the words and characters. Did ya actually read it?

What happened to you? You're not the kind, loving person I knew here years ago. You seem to be on edge and more concerned with the peripheral stuff, instead of the subject at hand. It's almost maga-like.

I never said it was un-Christian to be folksy and informal, nope, not at all. Perhaps you need to re-read what I said in order to understand it properly. I was simply clarifying that folksy and informal may not suit the subject matter... regardless of the fact that "thru" is in the dictionary. As for counting the words and characters: I used a counter. Such things do exist. I hope you did not think I counted them off myself. No wonder you think I am concerned about "peripheral" stuff. Ha. But you completely misunderstood. So there is that.

^ The reason why I used a counter was to see how long it was, since I asked before
and you did not tell me, after asking me if I was volunteering to edit your book.
I do not really see that as peripheral information given what you asked me.
The length of the work was very much a central part of the subject at hand.

I did not use a counter, obviously. Thank you for providing that information.

I know it's long. But as my pastor said, there's a LOT of information in there. A lot. And ya should have seen it before I shortened it!

As for peripherals, I was also thinking of another thread where you rightly called me out on an error, but completely refused to address the actual subject on hand. And what I really wanted was your thoughts on the subject, not just pointing out that I shouldn't do this when I'm tired and in a food coma!

Uh huh. And explained why I said that and you still twisted my meaning to
make it seem like I said something I definitely did not. Proud of yourself?

I have no idea what you are talking about. Surely not people refusing to take responsibility for errors?
People refusing to apologize when they twist the meaning so they can falsely accuse the other?

Dishonest editing on your part. Open your blind eyes.

Somehow you twisted this into me saying being folksy and informal
was a sin. Wow. I never realized how dishonest you were before now.

You don't like how straightforward and direct I am? Yeah. I get it. People hate getting caught.

Wow. Just wow.

Do me a favor. Block me, and I'll block you.

And get some help. You're definitely NOT the person you used to be.

Bless you

Ahh the lovely game of politics, where you can act like you’re against something, but could honestly care less. How do you know if someone is engaged in this stupid game? Well, are they just as upset when their side does the same thing? If not, then they’re just playing politics, and acting all upset as a means of scoring a few points on their opponent.

What has happened to you that you can take what somebody says and turn it into the exact opposite and think you are justified doing so?

You are like far too many Christians these days.

You've lost the love of Christ for others, and are now angry, bitter, and looking for a fight.

I'll be praying for you, but seriously, you're going on ignore. Unlike so many, I'm not here for a fight.

We'll see you at the pearly gates.

Those who know me know I'm no fan of trump (or most all republicans and democrats). But even criminals deserve fairness. This 454 million dollar bond is outrageously excessive, and his bloodbath comment is being totally taken out of context. The dems are making a martyr out of this guy, They should be smart enough to know they are just empowering his base. And he should be smart enough to know not to make such inflammatory comments.

And hopefully we're smart enough to vote 'none of the above' in November

Ecc. 10:2 The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

There we go, sums it all up. Subject closed. :)

Classic projection and I called it right: you refuse to take personal responsibility for your error and also refuse to apologize for falsely accusing me. Your lack of comprehension borders on shocking.

Well, then there's this

2 Timothy 2: 3Join me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4A soldier refrains from entangling himself in civilian affairs, in order to please the one who enlisted him.

I was kinda hoping for a laugh, a bit of humor in the intensity. I guess my sense of humor is different than most. :(

You aren't the first for this to happen to, doubtful you'll be the last.
