In the midst of dust and heat,
Where weary souls and sinners meet,
There stood a man, with eyes so keen,
Teaching truths that remained unseen.

In humble huts and crowded streets,
His words cut through, like sharpened cleats.
Repentance, he preached, with solemn tone,
Asking all to claim their own.

For in the hearts of those who heard,
A stirring, like the flight of bird.
A longing to shed the weight of sin,
And find redemption deep within.

No flowery phrases did he weave,
Just simple truths, for all to believe.
In repentance, he offered grace,
A path to find a better place.

So let us heed his timeless call,
To turn from ways that lead to fall.
With humble hearts and spirits meek,
Embrace repentance, find what we seek.
