Why are you so angry? Anyone who comes to Christ is Elect.
She's not angry, but you are definitely trying to save face. Just admit you're wrong and be gracious about it. Smh....

You know you're still our sister in Christ, right? This doesn't have to end badly. i still love you and I bet @Niki7 does too! :giggle:

You're right, I don't care what you have to say, lol! You see things from a carnal POV.

It's not work if one submits to the Holy Spirit. Our calling can be accomplished only through the Holy Spirit and when it's done in God's will and His power and might, then it's not in our own flesh and therefore not our work. We just have to be willing to be available to God. Otherwise, God will find someone else who is willing.

Nothing to say here. Cause you don't care.

Scripture says first He was chosen by the revered judge and prophet Samuel, under the direction of God.
The people would have voted anyone in front of them but it was God who put the person (Saul) before them to vote for.
forgive the colloquial language here but I do see some humor in the exchange regarding choice and nuh no choice

Samuel went over to Jesse's and had Jesse proudly present all his tall good looking boys but Samuel was not convinced. he said: you don't have anymore boys? I need more boys.

well, there is that day dreaming David back in the fields somewhere. but he smells like sheep

Samuels face lit up. yeah. I want to see him and don't dawdle cause we are not eating until I see him

Jesse gave a sigh of oy vey and sent for David. David came in smiling and was the picture of health and good looking to boot. Just not in the way the other boys were.

Samuel knew that David was the one God had sent him to annoint. So David felt the oil of God's anointing pouring down over his head and from day on, David, who was already close to God, knew God in a different way; knew things would now be different

Jesus hand picked His Disciples. You were not hand picked how Jesus is describing. So this is specifically about Jesus telling His Disciples what He did and why they are important for the Role they have been picked to do.

But I also agree we can glean from this. We were just not hand picked by Jesus like the chapter is indicating.
Well friend , you should know that every spoken word by Jesus is inspired by God . he is God personified .this is a creator talking to his creature going to extinction ..see clear

I understand but there are those that still hold to the Flat Earth concept.

Ignorance is to be tolerated and guided to Truth with patience but nothing can
be done with plain oh unreasoning idiocy. Only God Himself can break that down.
Do you not hold to the principle of irresistible grace? Flat earth has nothing to do with it. Why bring it up?

Anyone ever read about king Saul?

He was a Donkey herder and kept loosing the donkeys and needed help to find them.

But the true king David was a Shepherd of SHEEP.

God chose a mockery for the people as their first king hahahahahahaha
what a succint point! hee haw

Wow dude, you have completely lost me. The first chapter of Ephesians is talking about Christ and believers. You really need to go back and read the entire chapter again.
It is talking about Christians and Believers and how they will be in Jesus and through Jesus.
But nowhere does it say John Blow or Mike Snot. It's showing how Believers are chosen to be saved through Jesus.

We see this in Eden, Tree of Life = Jesus.

Adam had a chance to eat of that Tree all day long because it was Predestined for us to be there.

Simply because people will believe and do believe just about anything. This Subjective truth. However, one needs to be guided into Objective Truth, which is from God. Or are you trying to make a point about believing in "Irresistible Grace".

They chose Saul because he was the largest one amongst them. They looked upon the outside. Turns out he was a very timid and fearful man who hid under the coats when it was time for his inauguration.
You might want to reread the story.
you forgot good looking

in fact, he was the mostest bestest good looking fellar there...yes that is in the Bible

Even if God said it it's a choice you can do or not do.
Yes but you where given the choice beforehand

The choice of not doing his will

Is that your choice to begin with

In the unsaved they listen to the other choice.

Do you call that free choice 🤔

I don't I call it ignorance of the choices they where given.

And a idea based of a choice to be like a demi God or to challenge God.

When they stand before God will God accept the excuse when they say well I was free to choose

Are you not even following the conversation in which you are engaged?

Irresistible grace is irrevocably tied to people believing they had no choice.

It is the thread topic matter after all.

I would like to see some Scripture on this point please.

I do and thank you!
But Jesus is talking to His Disciples in literal language but we glean it spiritually.
