There's no pleasure in it anymore, but what with feeling down in the dumps one of my old sinful habits is getting the better of me. Prayer to resist.

Remembered what Jesus said;

Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Take life one day at a time doing each day the best that you can, Keep Faith in God He knows everything you are going through , talk to Him. Remember Job.

Blessings

I will certainly pray that the Spirit will strengthen you to overcome this sin. Although you have slipped, please understand that the very fact that it is bothering you says a lot! If you were not a Christian it probably wouldn't bother you at all!

Yeah... watch out that the enemy doesn't start messing with your head when you're in that state. Don't use sin as a bandaid. That's a test, or at least a proverbial fork in the road, and it is, I think, when we're supposed to draw near to God.

I get the depression thing, rest assured. My life, while not akin to a Christian in a North Korean gulag, has its own brand of suckiness. But, we are not to be weary of well-doing.

thanks, that bandaid effect is like a dug, momentary relief that makes things worse in the long run.
