I personally keep count of the amount of times i've forgiven a person. I got a notepad with people's names on it. Once they cross the 490 mark its over.

Its biblical
Okay, you got me on that one, sly dog 😊 Lol

I hope you're kidding, but if you aren't, you haven't forgiven anyone of anything. Love keeps no record of wrongs. You may want to revisit the idea of forgiveness again.

I understand you only read the surface. This is a parable concerning Israel. Yeshua was speaking of the 70 X 7 or 70 weeks of Daniel 9:24
Ha, I missed that little arrogant pious holier-than-though post your majesty. Jesus said it and meant it in real time. So is it true or not?

As I understand it 7 is regarded in the bible as a perfect number.. 7 spirits of God has an example so 70 x 7 isn't a mathematical formula, but represents infinity.

More relevantly forgiveness is only practical if there is repentance from the offender.

It's true that there is no forgiveness without repentance.

That is what the bible teaches. We as imitators of God should only forgive if the offender repents and like Jesus on the cross, hand the unrepentant over to God to deal with.

Answer the question bro. If I forgive 490 times, can I not forgive on 491? It a simple “yes” or “no” question. Why are y’all so scared to answer? This is comical

I have learned there's 3 categories to forgiving, not forgiveness, but to forgiving.

1. Forgiving Others
2. Forgiving Ourselves
3. Even though God never does wrong sometimes people feel God is the reason for things that have not been healed, solved, fixed, etc in their lives [so Forgiving God]

I have never had to forgive someone 7x70 times because if they make it a habit of doing things I forgive all and their last thing and then no longer have anything to do with them because they are not trying to change.

I've had to forgive myself the most because all of my struggles and problems generally were created by myself in life.

And I have forgiven God because I have felt let down, Prayers not answered, and the fact He let me be stupid so many times and I wrongfully blamed Him.

But I think the moral of the verse is that God forgives us that many times and continues to keep on forgiving us if we are sincere in seeking His forgiveness.

No. I believe he can answer for himself. Since I don't know him, I'm not familiar with his sense of humor. But you are obviously gifted with the gift of condemnation and a critical spirit. You must get invited to a lot of parties.
