I’m rededicating to Jesus tomorrow at my new church. What I have to give up is the hard part. Drunkenness and lust have crippled my life again, walking away from Jesus. Every time I drink alcohol I keep making bad choices. Pray for me to be able to fully let go of those things tomorrow and to be reconciled to Jesus!
Amen

Seems that coming back to HIM is also a choice you're able to make, and a good one at that, so just maybe making good choices isn't so hard :) All the best tomorrow!

I have the exact same problem, I'm long past the first, but the second is still a problem, I probably shouldn't even have a computer with internet.

I would start by reframing your story, for instance, you said:

Every time I drink alcohol I keep making bad choices.

Reframed: drinking is the first of many bad choices I have made repeatedly in my life.

Another suggestion: Have you tried attending AA? It is custom made for you...

The rooms are full of people waiting for someone to show up who they can really help.

They have been where you are.

Hello brother. No one is judging you. Before I converted to Christianity in 1999. I was walking mess. Ranging from anger to hatred. Modiifications we're made in my life, over the years. The holy Spirit was the key player.
Romans chapter 12
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is.
2 Corinthians chapter 4
Therefore we don't lose heart. Though out wardky we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
Romans chapter 8
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
2 Corinthians chapter 3
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is in the Spirit.
If we're governed by the Spirit, we have Holy Spirit. It will slowly transform us into new man. The old man is gone. Not many people have holy Spirit. Anyone is fortunate to have Holy Spirit. Lot of people have Spirit of slumber, Romans chapter 11.
Its either submission to God or rebellion. Those who are in rebellion against God are Reprobates, 2 Corinthians chapter 4 and Romans chapter 1.
Peace.
