I've travelled a long and winding road back to Christianity in my life. Now at 55, I realise that Christ has been there all along.
So I pray. I pray while I walk to work in the early morning. I recite the Lord's Prayer and the Jesus Prayer and I talk to Jesus as I stroll along. I've started to read chapters of the Bible and speak with the Chaplain at my place of work.
I believe the Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe He was crucified and rose again. I believe that God is the Creator of all.

Does this make me a Christian? I was christened as a child but not baptised as an adult. I do not attend church. I walk a lone path with Christ at my side. But what more should I do? Is this enough? Day to day living, work demands, family, draw my attention away from Him and into the world. Then I remember in the day and know He is there, waiting.

Any and all advice is welcome. Thank you.

If I were you I'd get water baptized. Jesus Himself was baptized, giving us an example to follow; He taught His disciples to practice it; the New Testament writers practiced and taught it; the New Testament believers practiced it. It's the first step a believer should take in his or her walk with the Lord. Don't ponder or think about it; just do it. You'll have the rest of your life to ponder its meaning once it's done.

It is important also to have fellowship with other believers. I'm no fan of organised religion and there are few fellowships that are not tainted with religiosity. Ask God to show you where to go.

no. study John 3:5. also, Romans 10:9 are quite appropriate. we must confess Jesus as our personal savior & believe in Him, God & the Holy Spirit too with faith & trust.
