look to the lineage of Shem leading to Abraham to David and then Jesus eventually

The line beforehand before Abraham began at Seth and is found in genesis 5 leading to Noah and his sons in six and of those sons shems line is the line of Seth which leads to Abraham David and Jesus eventually

Terah's father was Nahor, who was eighth in line from Noah. Those from Seth's line are differentiated from those
of Cain's line, just as those from Jacob's line are differentiated from those of his twin brother Esau's line.
It is essentially the same differentiation made between believers and unbelievers.
