Why Positive News is Good For Your Health

Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

John 14:27 “Peace is what I leave with you; it is My own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.”

John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Maybe the Borg lover should take the OP's post to heart. How can one be a Christian and post almost only negative news? Seems oxy-moronic to me.

I could very well have that cortisol thing with the way I've been feeling lately. Seems hard to find positive news though, in media or in personal life.

Actor Paul Rudd Wants to Meet Jesus
Actor Paul Rudd, celebrated for his roles in “Ant-Man” and “Clueless,” recently shared an unexpected and thought-provoking answer when asked which historical figure he’d most like to meet. Without hesitation, Rudd declared, “Jesus Christ.”

The revelation came during a lively conversation with his “Ghostbusters” co-stars, Mckenna Grace, 17, and Finn Wolfhard, 21. The moment was filled with surprise as Rudd made his declaration. “By the way, laugh all you want! It seems like it would be a wrong thing to say,” Rudd retorted, addressing the giggles.

Finn Wolfhard, in sheer ignorance and still amused, queried, “Was He real?”

Rudd, without missing a beat, responded, “He existed! So wouldn’t you want to spend some time with him and go, ‘Jesus, what’s the deal?'”

Mckenna Grace, recognizing the significance of Rudd’s choice, remarked, “That’s a fantastic answer.”

Not letting the moment slip, Rudd challenged his co-stars to share their picks: “Come on. I got Jesus. Who do you guys got?”

Rudd further elaborated, addressing any potential controversy head-on. “You say this and people think like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, you can’t say that,’ and I’d say, ‘Well, why?’ That’s who I would choose.”

Rudd, who is Jewish, and his wife, Julie Yaeger, share two children: son Jack, 17, and daughter Darby, 13.

I think about this too all the time, what He sounded like or looked like and just listen to Him and maybe ask Him a question here and there if i ever get my turn.

Also, good news, the topic i resurrected, does not make a lot of news because it doesn't make a lot of money because people aren't interested in good news but there are many sites out there that dedicate themselves to good news only and inspiring stories, which sometimes are heartbreaking so they're not really that good but inspiring nonetheless.

How about "Jesus Christ is Lord" or "He is risen" or "He has conquered death"?

Then of course His blood redeems us. We are forgiven.

That all seems very positive to me.

All news is positive.

For example, I just read an article about housing prices in China dropping 75%. The Bible says before you can plunder the strong man's house you must bind the strong man. Jesus is going to plunder the kingdom of darkness and this is the first step. People in China had put all their hopes in getting rich and in buying a home or apartment. This will cause hundreds of millions of people to turn, many of whom may turn to the Lord and get saved.

All news is positive.
That's like saying "All publicity is good". Not necessarily. And objectively all news in NOT positive. You have simply put a spin on that.

What can fairly be stated is that the news media do not publish all the positive things that happen daily. They pick only what is most sensational and that is all negative. Why do they report only murders and killings but never report when someone is brought to justice? Of course the justice system has been corrupted, so nowadays they cannot even report that.

But the Good News -- the Gospel -- is still the power of God unto salvation, and that is the only news that matters.

You left out that it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.

That is a given. Only those who believe are saved. So what's point? Are you another Calvinist in disguise, and want to suggest and mislead others that only the so-called "elect" will believe, and that too not of their own volition?

It is not a given when people contend that the will of the natural man is free to choose to love God when he is
in fact taken captive to the will of the devil, blinded, a slave to sin, a lover of darkness, unable to accept the things
of God, and believing the gospel message to be foolishness. Even you pretend that God enabling people is forcing
them. And you seem to like to ignore the fact that Arminianism and also Molinism teach the depravity of man, which
you kick against. Probably because you believe some ear-tickling doctrine that is nowhere found in the Bible.

1 Corinthians 4:7b; John 3:27; Romans 9:15-16 What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did also receive it, why do you boast as not having received it? John replied, "A man can receive only that which is given him from heaven." "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." So then, it does not depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
