Hello everyone! My name is Johan and I am from Sweden. So please excuse my written english as it is possibly full of flaws.

My story is quite confusing and long so Ill try to keep it short here. Even since I was young I have felt gods presence in my life. I remember going to a church while around ten years old and feeling such peace and joy. Later I started reading the word of god in ninth grade(age 15 here) but I just couldnt get into it. I was a very angry and rebellious youth. Which lead me onto the path of satanism eventually. I went through many denominations of satanism and through it all that voice in the back of my head asking me if I was on the right path was always there trying to push me into gods arms. So eventually I started getting cold feet with satanism, I wasnt getting any answers or anything out of it anymore. It felt like I was used up and left alone again. The voice of god was still there asking me if it wasnt time for me to come home. Eventually I met some new friends who are christian and after a while I just couldnt ignore it anymore. The final straw was when I was on the bus one day feeling so sick I was about to puke, I asked "Satan, God, whomever is listening to me, please help me so I dont puke on this bus". I immediately felt better and could go on with my bus ride. I eventually decided that it had to be god since satan never did anything like that for me. So I decided to accept Jesus Christ as my lord and saviour which immediately felt great, such joy that got into me that moment I havent experienced before. I got into contact with a priest and am now attending services at a lutheran evangelic church in Sweden where I live.

Since this is a hello this is me thread I will refrain from going into the troubles Im having. But thank you for letting me in and I hope this will be a good place for discussing christ and related subjects. Im glad to be able to speak to others of faith, hope you are having a great day everyone!

Thanks for the welcome everyone :). I think this will be a good place to be. I am just starting out on my journey so I have much to learn here but also maybe I have some experiences(satanism) not many has had that I can share with the people who need to hear it. God likes to turn the old negatives into new positives so I view my past as an asset instead of plain baggage. I am glad to finally have seen the light though and am trying my best to cleanse myself of the old which will take a bit of time but I will get there with christs help.

I'd like to hear your experience with satanism ... if you're comfortable to share on a public forum.
Thank you.

Sure i can tell you some things. It is all based on hatred and self serving acts. Now there are denominations that claim to be about love as well and sure there is less hatred and more respect in the one I was involved in at the end. I was a part of several different paths. But basically it is all about serving your self, building your self up like a god, create like a god and so on. If someone gets in your way you are supposed to basically destroy them. A lot of magic is involved and I did participate in these rituals. In the beginning it seems like answers are served on a silver platter and you get a lot of strength. But that wears off in my experience unless you move on with the more complicated rituals where you call demons to do your work. I had glimpses of what I guess would be hell through meditations in and out of rituals, cold, dark and not much life there at all. That was one sign for me to get as far away as I could. The next sign was all the answers stopped, none of my prayers or rituals were answered, I was just drained of energy. I just stopped praying and doing the rituals and was a lukewarm satanist at the end so to speak. Until I asked for help with being sick on the bus, I included god in that prayer as I wrote in the first post and I got an immediate response. Shortly after that I was on the path to converting to christianity and here I am today. When I accepted jesus christ as my lord and saviour through prayer I could feel my hands being held, I wasnt scared or anything, it felt safe and loving. That experience was a very good confirmation that I was on the right path.

If you have questions I can try to answer them.

That's quite a path you've been on Johan. It's very interesting. I'm sure others, like myself, would like to hear more details later.

It's good to hear your testimony and have you attend this forum.

Thank you for sharing that, i appreciate it.
I have another question.
Have you or the people you hanged out with experienced anything supernatural?
For example, my friends and the priests that i've known at the church have told me that they had to deal with possessed people or objects moving, but i never experienced anything like that myself, neither do i want to.
Another famous case in USA is the Skinwalker Ranch which is littered with UFO and supernatural entities which are considered "unholy spirits" which tormented the cameramen of the show and made them leave. They were getting skin burns in their skins when they were entering certain rooms, as well as nightmares.
Have you or your friends experienced anything like that?

Welcome Johan85 to the site. I'm glad to hear your testimony of spiritual deliverance. I've got one question: How old were you when you prayed & received Christ? I curious as whether it was later in your life.

^ Gospel of John is often recommended as a great place to start reading the Bible.
This movie is a word-for-Word portrayal of John's gospel.

Please check out the Alpha Course.

There are 10 videos total. I hope you watch them. They could benefit you greatly .:)

I have experienced moving objects at home and physical sensation during meditation. Also some visuals. But not much more than that.

Thank you for sharing that. I have also experienced a couple of miracles myself, one involving an angel with very bright light in a church.
Good to see that you have left the old ways and are now a follower of Christ. May God bless you and keep you safe.

I have not experienced miracles. But fortunately, faith with which there is salvation promised doesn't depend on experience of that at all. There is basis of the gospel we know, with trusting God who we know is good, having a changed life that bears witness. With having the Bible available to us and learning all we can from it, and praying, we will have growth as we need to have.
