"Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body." Ecclesiastes 12:12b
"Do not call conspiracy
everything this people calls a conspiracy;
do not fear what they fear,
and do not dread it."
Isaiah 8:12
"Do not say, 'Why were the old days better than these?'
For it is not wise to ask such questions."
Ecclesiastes 7:10
"We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise." 2 Corinthians 10:12

Real conspiracies exist today and Christians should be fully aware of them. Also, the old days did not have Communists in control of the USA.

Sounds a little close to outright rejection of scripture there for my taste. And FYI, the verse didn't speak categorically, for there certainly is the conspiracy of Satan. Let me encourage you to seek God for the fullness of His meaning, though, and its application.

Since those words were addressed to Israel, you are the one misapplying them. I never reject Scripture, but I try to rightly divide the Word of Truth.

The conspiracy of Satan is not in view in that chapter. Isaiah prophesied that the king of Assyria would bring an invading force into Syria and then into Israel and Judah. Before that Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah attacked Jerusalem and Judah, but did not succeed. The Israelites were rejoicing but did not turn to God (Shiloh is another title of Christ). Instead they turned to occultists (those with familiar spirits) and wizards.

1 Cor 14:34
the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says.

Most churches violate this and have women in the pulpit babbling about something or the other. So many women pastors who claim to be called by God, not realizing they are doing the devil's work.

These types of verses don't preach well in the sissy west. Feminism is more important than God here.

You are misquoting that verse.

34¶Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

Its the same verse, I quoted the ESV. I don't see how any of this changes anything. If you claim "your" means just that time and space.

Then all of our Bibles can be chucked to the bin.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved? Nah... see the thou? It was only talking to that one guy, the jailer, doesn't apply to you!

Paul is respoding to a series of issues happening in Corinth presented to him in a letter that we do not have. It seems clear to me that the wives in Corinth were arguing in and disrupting the Corinthian meetings. The husbands had told them to cool it. They had refused to submit to their husbands. In respose to their not submitting to their husbands wills on this, the elders had told the wives that, because they were without sufficient self-control to keep the meetings decent and in order. they were forbidden now to speak at all in the services in Corinth. This decision could obviously be later recinded by those who had imposed it, if the wives'attitudes showed sufficient improvement.

We cannot assume that this wifely unruliness was ubiqitous throughout the empire and this sanction was universally applicable.

Forgiven Eph 1:7, Accepted in the beloved Eph 1:6, sealed to be taught new by God, Eph 1:13
It all starts new by being reconciled first 2 Cor 5:17-20

Ephesians 1:6

Living Bible

6 Now all praise to God for his wonderful kindness to us and his favor that he has poured out upon us because we belong to his dearly loved Son.

Ephesians 1:7

Living Bible

7 So overflowing is his kindness toward us that he took away all our sins through the blood of his Son, by whom we are saved;

Ephesians 1:13

Living Bible

13 And because of what Christ did, all you others too, who heard the Good News about how to be saved, and trusted Christ, were marked as belonging to Christ by the Holy Spirit, who long ago had been promised to all of us Christians.

2 Corinthians 5:17-20

Living Bible

17 When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!
18 All these new things are from God who brought us back to himself through what Christ Jesus did. And God has given us the privilege of urging everyone to come into his favor and be reconciled to him. 19 For God was in Christ, restoring the world to himself, no longer counting men’s sins against them but blotting them out. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. 20 We are Christ’s ambassadors. God is using us to speak to you: we beg you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, receive the love he offers you—be reconciled to God.

No he is not. Other passage support the truth that women are forbidden to preach, teach, or usurp authority in the churches. And this was true for almost 2,000 years. And in spite of their other errors, both the Catholic and the Orthodox churches do not make women priests on this basis.

This teaching does not make women "inferior" (as some imagine) but it shows that God has DIFFERENT ROLES for men and women in the home and in the church. But disregarding what God says has now become commonplace. So I trust you will examine the Scriptures and believe them.
