One of these days Putin is going to say enough is enough.
But it will probably be with a missile.
Biden is trying to get us in a full war with Russia and Iran before he leaves office.

putin is smart enough to see this as something just to provoke him to react.

however, if the missile strikes get bigger and more often, and start doing real damage, he will have no choice but to respond...

Putin has been making threats from day one. He's all talk. It's not even certain that his nukes will work. His last test of an ICBM was catastrophic, blowing up in the silo. He also fully intends to occupy all of Ukraine. He may prefer not to have a radio active country that is totally destroyed. He needs Ukrainians to be cannon fodder for his next victims.

People seem to forget that Ukraine was once a major supplier of military hardware to the USSR. Ukraine designed and made the "Satan 1" nuclear missile. Ukraine is at the forefront of drone technology, by necessity. Ukraine designed and built the world's largest aircraft - Antonov is Ukrainian, not Russian. Putin would be delighted to bring that expertise back into the Russian fold. Self interest should drive the free world to ensure that Russia stays behind its borders. Of course, that assumes that the free world does not degenerate into dictatorships as well.

The tragedy in all wars is that humans with a soul are treated as statistics to satisfy the egos and agendas of a few men who have captured the minds of their population with poison willingly or unwillingly.

May the Good Lord come soon to end all this reoccurring cycle.

"We have not because we ask not" If we have trouble here, it is never from His end.
We have failed to seek His guidance and walk it out that we might all live in His peace, scripture tells us of a time of great destruction such as the world has never seen, nor ever will again, and very near.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem.

Maybe Russia shouldn't have invaded a sovereign country.

Update (1135ET):

Rabobank's Michael Every told clients this morning about a very alarming situation emerging in the Baltics regions:

So, if you want to worry, look at less glamorous but arguably more significant headlines that don't point to world war, per se, but to world disruption, and major world market volatility.
Official allegations of sabotage were made in the EU as: two of Finland's five nuclear plants had to be shut down; a key Norwegian oilfield was shut by a power outage; the support cable on a Finnish suspension bridge broke; and two key Baltic EU data cables were severed. The Chinese vessel Yi Peng has been flagged as a possible cable culprit and at time of writing was forcibly moored in Denmark. This is likely to prompt a strong Chinese diplomatic response; and perhaps an EU one if it proves a Chinese ship damaged key seafloor infrastructure (again: this also happened to a gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia in October 2023).

Proxy war, part....
Before Trump is inaugurated we'll see just how low "Biden" Harris can go.
And they wanted another 4 years to go even lower on the record. Lord.
I don't think you can blame Harris for any of these decisions, not until she actually is President.

Well, she would make the decisions were Biden to step down. And given she lied to the American people about Biden being at the helm and in full possession of his faculties when he clearly was not tells me she would say anything to keep up the facade all was well in the White House. Because she was the one publicly saying they were when she knew better.
