Gaetz abruptly resigned as soon as he was selected by the Donald to be attorney general. The House ethics report was scheduled to be released just two days later; however, with Gaetz's resignation, they were no longer obligated to release it. My question is: If he has nothing to hide, why did he resign and prevent the report from being released? If it would exonerate him, why not stand up and say yeah, go ahead and release it?

Hegseth and Gaetz have a lot to hide it seems.

Hopefully neither gets confirmed.

Gaetz just announced he's withdrawing so I guess it's irrelevant now.

TRANSLATION:

"My attempt to get people to hate and vote against President Trump, that I engaged in daily for 2 yrs, has been an utter failure. So now I'm moving on to damage Trump's cabinet picks".

Pathetic.

I guess Gaetz realized how much negative attention he was getting, which would inevitably harm the institution he was supposed to lead.

Or the plan all along was for him to be named as the senator to replace Marco Rubio and Jim Jordan becomes AG

What you have to understand RA is that Matt Gaetz grew up in a middle class family. Middle class families know how to work hard, am I right? So he appreciates hard work. Like his mother told him, don't let anyone tell you who you are, you tell them who you are. We know that the allegations against him are very serious and he knows they are very serious and we have to deal with it. You have heard his story he comes from the working class, he is never going to forget where he comes from. Part of what we have to do is what he calls building an opportunity economy. This is where people have an opportunity to do what they aspire to do. Just like you want an opportunity so do others, and Matt Gaetz is going to lead the way in this fight for democracy and equity and inclusion. He is going to be unburdened by what has been so that he can better focus, not just on getting by but getting ahead. So here is his plan, he wants to take Marco Rubio's seat in the Senate having been unburdened by any sanctions due to ethics violations. Isn't this what we really want, to focus on these corporations that jack up prices unnecessarily? They focus, usually, on people who are desperate. So then lets not have a vindictive congress, but let's care for the working man by expanding child tax credit. These rich Americans can afford it, do you realize many of these recent immigrants can't afford rent, a phone, a car, or even to go out to a nice restaurant every so often. Listen Matt Gaetz is a capitalist, he believes in the strength of the private sector. So let's work with government, not against it, strengthen the economy not weaken it. Instead of firing people let's hire people. Part of his plan is to work with developers and builders and who better than Trump?

Last News I saw was that he also said he would not return to the Senate...
