For example: how do the treasures from the 1st and 2nd born tribes of Ishmael come to be offered to the Lord?

"All Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to you,
the rams of Nebaioth will serve you;
they will be accepted as offerings on my altar,
and I will adorn my glorious temple."

These are not the spoils of a terrestrial war. These are Ishmael's descendants coming to the Lord and bringing their offerings with them!

This is also NOT making a comfortable place for Muslims in the church and accepting them as "brothers in the Lord." That's heresy.
The Lord is breaking through the gates that hold the Arab people in Islam. When they receive their freedom, their glad tidings adorn the temple of the Lord, the Body of Christ.

Of course. If love is your goal people's lives change. No accusation can be leveled against the love of God.
Compelling the world to go against their own consciences is not found in the gospel of Christ. Not until the judgement. The way we save people from abortion is to lead them to Christ, not ban them from the clinics.
On the contrary, atheist communists make accusations against the love of God continually, especially politically, so Christendom has been resisting tyrants to go against their consciences from the first century and with more success ever since it gained political power, beginning with the Reformation.

I have been a Christian all of my life, but I was a naive pro-choicer until I finally learned about fetal development, so that subject needs to be taught in school. A very strong logical argument can be made against abortion after viability even without specific Scripture other than thou shalt not murder.

It means using every means possible to evangelize the world in order to bring the KOG on earth actually. You DO realize that it is a spiritual kingdom? (MT 3:2, 4;17, 23, 10:7, 12:26, 13:19-33, 21:31, 24:14, lk 17:20-21, Etc.)

Hope we don't post past each other this time. Yay! We didn't.
Okay, but this again has nothing to do with mixing politics with the Kingdom of God since Christ Himself didn't establish some kind of government here. He came to defeat death, establish a new covenant and tell us how to live our lives until the real Kingdom of God comes to us or we go to it.

And this of course has a lot to do with how you mix these ideas. If you say "Vote Republican because they're closer to bringing the Kingdom of God" which i know you've been trying to say since you swing on the right politically a bit, then you're 100% wrong.

No. They can only lie about the love of God.

Also, what's "Christendom"? Sounds like a movement.

In the past, God winked at our 1/2 measures and ignorance. He no longer does so. Christian political movements are actually creating a place for the anti-Christ to reign. He will and he will use what the apostate church built for him to do it.

On the contrary, Jesus established the kingdom of God, which has leavened political kingdoms ever since.

It is better to swing right than wrong.
The left has murdered millions so you are 500% wrong!

 No, you are 1000% wrong because the right supports guns which are used to kill people who are adults and conscious.

Anyway, it's your free-will choice to confuse politics at a random part of the globe at a random part of the year with the Kingdom of God brother. :giggle::coffee:

Oh, I thought you were looking for insight and discussion. Seems like you are set in your ways.

For history: the church was distinct from the world until about 325 AD when Rome co-opted it. The Roman leaders did that because the church was eroding away Roman power even under severe persecution. Believers could not vote, own property or land, could be legally killed and beaten, etc. And yet, by 312 AD almost 10% of the people in the Roman Empire were believers.

That's not a movement. That's the power of God.

But then the Devil set a trap: through the Roman leaders, he offered the church leaders the privilege of being the "State Church". Instead of sticking to their first love, Christ by the Spirit of God, they accepted the deal and became the church supported by the political leaders. Corruption has crept into the church ever since.

It even has some people thinking that the way to advance the Kingdom of God is through politics. The enemy isn't creative. He just puts modern dressing on the same traps.

It is a movement powered by God. Not sure why you said I seem set in my ways.

Actually, guns are like a lot of inventions: they can be used for good/peacekeeping or evil/murder.

Here is a confusion of politics and GW for you: Happy Thanksgiving! (1THS 5:18 :^)

Looks like you’re fully asleep on this topic and it’s not your fault because it’s part of the culture and tradition.
Condemn one thing while being in bliss about another.
It is what it is brother. :coffee:

I am very grateful that God has blessed me with this culture leavened by Christian values and this tradition of being thankful rather than being apathetic and taking our freedom under the Constitutional government for granted.

Amen brother and as a more grateful person you might receive a bigger reward in Heaven.
I have a thought about heavenly reward: Although all Believers have the hope of heaven whether or not they suffer persecution, it may be that those who experience greater suffering develop an increased capacity for enjoying the good life both on earth and in heaven. This would be comparable to the fact that those who have studied a subject such as art or mathematics have a deeper appreciation for artistic or mathematical endeavors than those less experienced or knowledgeable.

Thus, which of us appreciates/enjoys our heavenly reward "bigger" may depend upon who has suffered more in this life, and I must admit that I was raised in accordance with God's Plan A, which gave be a boost toward saving faith, for which I am quite thankful--although it makes a rather boring testimony--so you may win in that regard.

You have suffered greatly? I trust thankfulness in all circumstances and for all blessings (including ithe imperfect US with imperfect citizens including Christians/us) is being learned, because even my easier experience combined with LGW has taught me to have that much gratitude (PHP 4:6-8). Again, there are no tiers but only capacities due to our tears IMO.
