Christmas

Not only once a year, Every day,, for me at least, please not just once a year, I am still in process.

I hate to be that guy but there are no verses about the catholic/roman Saturnalia/ChristMASS (resacrificing Christ once again) in the Bible.

You say you want to celebrate the birth of Jesus (which definitely wasnt in December), its not commanded but its also not forbidden, yet you choose the one day out of the year that is winter solstice time and peak of witchcraft paganism and catholic mass madness? Sounds like people just like ChristMASS and are coping and explaining to the best of their ability to keep celebrating it.

Worship is a matter of the heart. It should also be intentional. So if you are worshipping and celebrating the long expected Messiah and rejoicing that He indeed is come, that is what Christmas means to you, despite what others may be doing.

What a gift !!

A couple of the gospels spend some time speaking of the circumstances around the birth of our Lord... which was announced to shepherds in fields by angels, who told the shepherds that this news was good tidings of great joy for all people. The world may not understand how precious, wonderful, and glorious His incarnation was, or that Jesus temporarily gave up His place in the Godhead to save us from our sins by willingly dying for us due to His great and everlasting love for us, but not knowing the exact day of this momentous event should not stop us from celebrating with family and friends as they share their gifts of life and love, which come from God.

He became poor so that we might be rich beyond belief in that through believing in Him, we are able to be the children of God! Given all the miracles He performed, none were for Him. They were for the benefit of others.

He left the Glory of Heaven, took upon Himself the form of man, and chose to die on the cross so that His precious blood would pay the cost for our sins!

If that is not worth celebrating; what is?

If someone can't in faith celebrate Christmas then they should refrain. But Christmas does afford a great opportunity for evangelism. Christian Christmas music is full of doctrine. I dare someone to listen to Come Thou Long Expected Jesus and not want to share Him with someone else.
