Hi, I’m Em. I live near SeaTac, WA, and I’m a millennial with a bit of an older perspective—my dad was born in 1944 and went to be with the Lord right around New Year’s in 2024.
I grew up in Washington and Idaho, though I’ve done some traveling for family events and conferences over the years. Hard to believe sometimes, but I’ve been married for ten years now: my boys are proof of it.
I’m part of an OPC congregation, even though I’m a Particular Baptist. It’s a church I’ve been part of for years, and there are reasons I’ve stuck around. I grew up in a PCA church, but my family background on my dad’s side leans toward the RCUS.
I’m a homeschooling mom and a bit of a book nerd—I love reading when I can squeeze it in. I went to a Reformed-influenced liberal arts college for theology, which turned out to be far more practical than I expected. I like taking notes on books and sermons, so I end up writing a lot of summaries on what we’ve been learning or discussing.
We’re not on Facebook, and my husband keeps a close watch on what the boys do online. I thought I’d join here to chat about Christ and, every now and then, a bit of some inside baseball theology.
