2 Corinthians 5:10, "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each
of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad."

1 Corinthians 3:10-14 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds. For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames.

There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus...

We've already been judged in Christ

Truly, truly, I say to you, The one who hears my word, and believes the one who has sent me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. John 5:24

John 5:24-25 ~ Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life. Truly, truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. :)

If the elect of God have already been judged by Christ, who do you believe the all are (In Magenta's post) who appear before the judgment seat of Christ?

They haven't been judged by Christ, they've been judged in Christ.

Everyone will appear before the judgment seat of Christ to have their works judged, but the saved to receive rewards for service and the unsaved for eternal destiny

How much clearer & greater will the love that He has always had for us, His adopted children (e.g. Jeremiah 31:3), and the salvation that He has provided us with in Christ seem to us when we are reminded of such things at that time, yes? (when all of it is laid bare before us to remember and consider, that is )

That said, I certainly & personally sympathize with the sentiment that you made in your last post (post #3).

The good news is that He will also present the "good" stuff too (if there is any good to look at in our lives, that is, beyond our involvement in this most vital and essential work .. John 6:29).

Even for those among us who will receive many "crowns" (for their obedient service to Him while here in the Body), there remains the following thought to always keep in mind (best expressed, I think, by Saint Augustine).
Ergo coronat te, quia dona sua coronat, non merita tua.” (Therefore, He crowns you because He crowns His own gifts, ~not~ your merits) ~Augustine, Exposition on Psalm 102

God bless you brother!!

Yes. The Elect are judged. Just not at the same seat as the lost.
Reading all of Revelation doesn't take much time. However, it will provide you a full picture and answer to your question.

Hello ChristRoseFromTheDead, I believe that the Bible indicates that there will be two, separate Judgments, at least that's how I read it (though the "Judge" will be the same at both), one for the unsaved/reprobate with a judgment that results in eternal condemnation (Great White Throne), while the other is for all of the saints (Bema Seat) which will be a judgment that results in rewards (or the lack thereof), but ~not~ eternal condemnation for anyone who is there.

God bless you!!

~Deuteronomy (David)
p.s. - there are Scriptures that could lead us to believe in either one Judgment or two, and I am certainly open to discussing both of those possibilities (and changing my mind too, if need be ;)).

John 3
18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Well Jesus took my place on the cross so if he takes my place on judgement as well I can only say on that day I trust in Jesus Christ

Done? Then it's in the past brother. As soon as we repent God says its gone "never to be remembered against you again". God throws our past sins into the sea of forgetfulness! His blood covered it all!! PTL

Does not mean we do not have to "appear before the Judgement Seat."

10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Scripture can NOT lie! The Judgement Seat is where the wheat will be separated from the chafe. If we do not appear there; how will we be separated? Appearing before the Judgement Seat is not reserved for sinners/unbelievers only!

Romans, Chapter 2:

5But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

6Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

7To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Anyone who believes THEY will not appear before the Judgment Seat is only fooling themselves.

Of course it does. The Bible is full of warnings to people who are called 'the elect'

The 'elect' can 'believe in vain' and can be 'disqualified'...... even Paul himself said so

Yes, and although all Believers have the hope of heaven whether or not they suffer persecution, it may be that those who experience greater suffering develop an increased capacity for enjoying the good life both on earth and in heaven and such greater appreciation rewards greater service.

This would be comparable to the fact that those who have studied a subject such as art or mathematics have a deeper appreciation for artistic or mathematical endeavors than those less experienced or knowledgeable.

The believrs that are born again are judged here in this lifetime.
if we sin and we repent of those sins, and we truly get washed in the blood, we are cleansed from all unrighteousness.
it also says that God casts past Sins in the sea of forgetfulness.
We may possibly attend the great white throne judgment. But there's one that takes our place . That is Jesus
