Hello everyone,

I'm new here but excited to be a part of the collective group. I'm not big on going to a physical church like a majority of people tend to do, the reason being I don't feel like I get anything out of being there. The entire process just feels like a forced interaction where everyone is just "Going Through the Motions" because that's what they've been taught to do. I learn very little if anything at all, there's no time or room to ask questions or anything along those lines.

I'm excited about finding this site, I'm hoping to explore new angles of thought, being reprimanded and corrected, and potentially making new friends with similar theological beliefs.

I also apologize ahead of time; I haven't been in a chatroom/forum setting let alone active in one since around 2002, so any rookie mistakes made in replies or posts will hopefully not diminish from the conversations.

Blessings.

Welcome, Johnny, and that is a good way to make your entrance.

I do have a question for you right off the bat if you don't mind. Your profile says that you were "born and raised a Christian," and my question pertains to the "born...a Christian" part. Jesus said that we must be born again in order to enter the kingdom of God. In what sense do you believe that you were "born...a Christian?"

I am not asking in an antagonistic manner, and, hopefully, you understand the importance of such a question and its proper answer.

:)
There are no 'quiz' questions necessary to partake in a Christian environment,
or a necessity to be put in an unnecessary position that may or may not be on a personal sensitivity issue.
Glad you are here. God bless!

Perhaps it is like my experience where I don't recall a time when I was not His and in relationship?

Perhaps. Then again, it might have something to do with an idea about "predestination" or even infant baptism, and that is why I asked. Let's see what Johnny has to say.

It's a valid question, I'll explain. It's mostly more or less an inside Joke with myself. I believe the same way you are born from your mother and father there's no way to change the fact that those are your parents. You can deny them, be ashamed of them, hide the fact, or lie to yourself but in the end the fact is your parents are who they are. In the same way, I believe that the Trinity (God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit) are the only truth, and that Jesus is the only way to Paradise. We as Humans can deny, be ashamed, hide the fact, or flat out disbelieve, but no matter what we do or think the truth is the truth.

I do believe that you have to be Born again in Christ, I don't mean to cause confusion, It's just a funny way I look at the world population as brothers and sisters in Christ, just some of the family has gone astray.
