But it's a series.

That means the moment they run out of material, they'll just start making things up.

I'll wager that by season #2, he'll be a cross dressing midget with a mysterious twin brother and an uncle in the mafia.

Depends, if they do David's whole life, they should be able to cover 3 seasons unless they rush things in the first season or really take things slow. You shouldn't need to do more than 3 seasons imo

I sincerely hope they do something good.

But we should be realistic.
This series is developed by Amazon MGM Studios as a part their new faith-based offerings because... they obviously think this genre will make them a lot of cash.
They aren't being spiritual or altruistic here.
The principle production company on this project is The Wonder Project, which stated “With House of David being the first project under this new deal, we’re setting the stage for a series of compelling, values-driven movies, and TV shows,”
Note the phrase "values-driven."
It doesn't say Christian.
It doesn't say Biblical.

Now, with all sincerity, "values-driven" programming is MUCH MUCH better than the vile degenerate slop that's been coming out of Hollywood lately. It's a huge improvement, and I genuinely welcome it.
It's a HUGE and very welcome improvement.
Most of the things on Netflix and Amazon haven't been fit to show to families... it's all been vile.

However, biblical Christians still might do well to take a step back, relax, and just enjoy it as nice cinema.
It may or may not correspond much to scripture.
And frankly, as it is "historical drama", it will be HAVE TO make up all kinds of things that aren't in the book... as that is the only way historical drama can be done.
Maybe it will stay close to scripture, and maybe not.
Who knows.
If it's at least wholesome programming, that's a giant leap forward for the Amazon/MGM merger, and for the viewers.

I suspect that Amazon MGM Studio is only doing this as a cash grab in a shifting culture...
but the program may do some genuine good in spite of them.

Boris Johnson: How did he find out about our uncle?

Donald Trump: I don't know, but let's knock out his other eye with our slingshots.

There were more than enough made up things in just the trailer. I will never watch that series. Once you get unbiblical ideas and imagery inside of your head, it is difficult to get them out. I will stick with the biblical narrative itself.
