The Donald is pushing this whole Panama thing because it fits his narrative of the big bad bullies taking advantage of the poor US. He invents problems that don't exist then beats his chest and says look at me, I saved the US from all those who have been treating her so unfairly. If he's really that concerned about China, he shouldn't have undone the ban on Tik-Tok.

The ones who voted for Donald Trump are the ones embracing all this negativity.
First they said they were voting for Trump because everything was too expensive, now, they're making excuses for everything getting ready to be more expensive IE tariffs,so I'm starting to think that it never was really about everything being too expensive but about them just wanting Trump to be president.

Polls indicted that one of the main reasons people voted for Trump was inflation and the economy. So the first thing he does is ignore this and do what will boost his ego, not the economy. He thinks he's the CEO of the US; but he's not a CEO and the US isn't a corporation. Different skills are necessary in a politician than in a CEO.

A skillful politician uses tact and diplomacy; he or she tries to build trust and goodwill. You don't go around threatening your allies and using bully tactics. That might work in the business world, but not in diplomacy. Sooner or later people get tired of being bullied and will go elsewhere to find allies.

They want a leader they can support where they can convince themselves they will never have to live off the land, be self-sustainable, and where a nanny government will always take care of them so they don't have to deal with their problems.

No... That's Democrats, not Republicans.

Mind you, the Republican party is just about as bad as Democrats, just in different ways. But if you're going to criticize them, at least use the right criticisms. Don't use the same flaws the other party has. Know your target.

Is he helping by stopping the EBT food assistance program here in America?
Basic consideration: EVERYTHING on the Internet is either TOTALLY PHONY, or partially PHONY. SO IT'S ANYBODY'S GUESS WHAT (if anything) is actually being stopped.

In decreasing order of factual accuracy:
Foreign media
National media
Social media
and worst of all, The Whitehouse press secretary

All my Republican relatives do not want to be more self-sustainable.

It is rather ironic, but I suppose there were some Romans who defended Nero even as Rome burned!

It's working...
Both Mexico and Canada both Capitulated....seen where both have arrested cartel leaders and destroyed fentanyl labs.

They both are putting troops on the border....

Yes.... our resident alien doesn't seem to understand that when you deal with bullies, most times you have to punch 'em in the nose, to get their attention, and to confirm the fact that you are not scared of them in the least.
President Trump just punched them both in the nose.... got their attention...

Yep... it's all about his ego....

I am liking how he is doing things. The USAID shutdown is a fabulous start.

Medicare fraud is in the crosshairs and so is department of education.

Social Security fraud as well. Apparently we have 6.5 million Social Security recipients that are 116 years old. Uhhhhh.....I don't think so.

I know that our government has problems....and I am really concerned that it's so broken and corrupt that by the time we clean out the corruption there won't be any government left.

Yes...
I heard this morning that DOGE has stopped a give-away to the Politico "news" organization. Politico is nothing but the propaganda branch of the Leftist (formerly Democrat) party.. and our USAID program was SUBSIDIZING them, to the tune of 10's of millions of dollars per year.... can you imagine if the Epoch Times newsletter was getting that kind of handout from the USAID program? What kind of outcry, and gnashing of teeth from the liberal progressives?
The complete waste of OUR taxpayer dollars is astounding... and DOGE is just now getting started... not only are the taxes just wasted, but they are being used to FUND the leftist political agenda.... that alone should be enough to make citizens take to the streets with pitchforks and torches...

The reason this organization should be "paused" is for that reason.... why on earth would a US leftist political "news" organization get funding/subsidization from USAID?

The purpose of USAID is... (the red highlighted part is the important part)

"Over the last two weeks, President Donald Trump’s administration has made significant changes to the U.S. agency charged with delivering humanitarian assistance overseas that has left aid organizations agonizing over whether they can continue with programs such as nutritional assistance for malnourished infants and children."

The applause for punching down is interesting.
The Sovreign Wealth Fund will bring The United States of America into hyper-inflation. Most people will finally admit the crisis when most of the food runs out at the grocery stores and not much new food is coming in. We warned them.
