In the New Testament, faith and works are closely related but distinct concepts.

1. **Faith**: Salvation is primarily through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."

2. **Works**: While faith is essential for salvation, good works are seen as the evidence of genuine faith. James 2:17 says, "Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." This indicates that true faith will naturally produce good works.

3. **Balance**: Paul emphasizes that we are not saved by works, but rather, we are created for good works. Ephesians 2:10 states, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

In summary, salvation comes through faith, but genuine faith is demonstrated by works.

Yes, thank you, you get it, the done work of Son, works through us in love and mercy given us
the deeper anyone sees they are forgiven (reconciled) the deeper one loves in the same way God has shown us in Son going Willingly to that cross and willingly die to self for us all to get saved in his risen life afterwords three days later. Amazing
Then to see Luke 21: 1 and read forward about that woman that gave less than the other person in the till
The Disciples supposed the other person gave more than that woman
Not true once anyone reads through it. She gave everything to God, to be used by God, not to get liked by others or even given from others
Willing for God to do truth through them
woe is me. as I see Luke 21:14-15 I am willing anyone else?

The simplest concept about Faith and Works is that no one will be doing Works until they have Faith.

Otherwise, it's a waste of time and effort.

Yes, and there is no qualitative difference between faith that accepts God’s saving grace at conversion and faith that accepts God’s working grace while walking/living (EPH 2:8-10, 2CR 5:7), but only a quantitative difference as each additional moment passes–and of course faith remains non-meritorious during the saint’s entire lifetime.

"In summary, salvation comes through faith, but genuine faith is demonstrated by works. "

"Primarily or for the most part" Hmm

First toss out all the *ism. For me my salvation by grace through faith not by anything else as in any works its faith to just believe what He said as in John 3:16 To just believe that.. faith. "Works are a by-product" means that the actions or results ("works") are not the primary focus or goal, but rather something that naturally occurs as a consequence of a larger process or effort; essentially, the real value lies in the underlying activity, and the "works" are simply the visible outcome."

We just don't talk about faith much. what is faith? It is originally written "Now faith....is the substances of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen." We are in our Fathers image who called those things that be not as thought they were. Christ what so ever you ask in prayer believe you receive it you shall have it. Faith is the only way to please Him. They say and I have never counted over seven thousand promises in His word. Lets take one of them.. Isa 41 10 "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"

The works or one side is so to speak is acting on that promise that I cannot see cannot feel just believe . I don't have to hope for I know that I know that I know He will strengthen me and He will help me. When fear comes.. I know He has not given me that spirit of fear.. He gave me power and love and a sound mind. All His promises are yes in Him and amen. What is a promise "a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen" So do we read those promises God the great I am said and believe aka faith knowing with no doubt what so ever that He said it it will happen?

For me I say "one side" is because works.. its that fruit.. its just comes out of you...the by-product so to speak. Works.. its that apple tree .. what kind of apple tree would it be if it had no apples? It comes from the "vine". Not of my self. What did Christ say? "Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”

What I am trying to say is "works" that like faith does not get touched much. We do find what we believe though.

Exactly ----and People need to get this ----the Parable of the Good Samaritan explains that concept very nicely -----God's dynamic Faith will propel you into action -----

AI

Dynamic faith is a faith that is active, results in action, and changes a person's life.
It involves the intellect, emotions, and will.

Characteristics of dynamic faith
  • Action: Dynamic faith is not just words, but is expressed through actions

  • God's word: Dynamic faith is based on God's word

  • Transformation: Dynamic faith transforms a person's life through obedience to God's word

  • Real: Dynamic faith is real and powerful

  • Certainty: Dynamic faith is an absolute certainty, often of things that the world considers unreal and impossible
Examples of dynamic faith
  • Abraham and Rahab are examples of people who lived imperfect lives, yet demonstrated a dynamic faith focused on God

  • The Torah heroes change in the course of their lives, reconsidering their former views

Contrast with other types of faith

  • Dead faith: A faith with no works
  • Demonic faith: Believing without being changed
  • Emotional faith: Faith that is based solely on emotional feelings
I say
Dynamic Faith

Jesus is the VINE --we are the Branches ---Faith needs to be rooted and Grounded in the Vine

So, are we left with what came first the Chicken or the egg?
Chicken had to first happen in my opinion
Man came first, then man after Adam through woman. that God Called both Adam and Eve Adam, Genesis 5
