"Die Hard with a Vengeance" was my favorite movie as a kid. I'm sure that stealing that much gold all at once without anyone noticing would be exceedingly difficult.

I can't imagine the bullion depository as a place that doesn't have redundant security measures and procedures to audit itself frequently.

My understanding is that other countries keep their gold at Fort Knox too, so you don't have to remove the gold to steal it. Suppose this pallet of gold has a tag "this belongs to the USA" and then you move that little tag and put a new tag "This belongs to the UK". Moving the little pieces of paper around inside the vault would be much easier than removing the gold.

Analog to Trump calling Putin "smart". Both statements technically correct and sound nice-ish but perhaps should be taken in their most strict sense.

"Doge-dividends" is basically a huge stimulus package; which nobody asked for; moreover if it even looks like it causes inflation; Trump will lose all support and Republicans will probably lose standing as a result. It's way too risky.

Trump is not going to lose support because he gives Americans money. That is absurd.

Even if it does cause inflation no one is going to be complaining about Trump giving them money.

The left does not represent 50% of the electorate, their influence was greatly inflated by the MSM. The fact that 30% will be against him is a given, nothing you can do about that.

But the fact that he is cutting off all the money, much of which was laundered to pay for the Left to get elected will have a big impact on the election in 2026. That will solidify his position, not weaken it. It took four years before the inflation from the stimulus from the pandemic became a serious campaign issue.

The best way to counteract inflation is with inflation rates and promoting business in the US and oil and gas production. Yes, the stimulus is inflationary, but DOGE is cutting the budget, tariffs are encouraging business to move to the US and drilling will have a positive impact on the US economy.

He needs DOGE and there will be a lot of resistance since his plan is to lay off thousands of employees and replace them with AI. So the stimulus makes that much easier for the US to swallow and much harder for the left to build resistance. It is like dancing, two steps forward, one step back.
