I’ve been trying to ask God for something but then this phrase comes to my mind about not caring for God anymore and forsaking him once i get what I want.
I think of this being in God’s will (especially about seeking Him and staying in His word.)
Then the famous Ecclesiastes word also talks about a time for everything (believing in good things)
I think I contradict myself sometimes
3 You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires. James 4:3
6 But He gives us more and more grace [through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation]. James 4:6
