In Revelation 1:20, are the "angels of the churches" that John writes letters to human overseers?

I would argue no, because while messengers can be humans. But the symbolism is way off:

The churches are the lampstands, therefore the human overseer would be part of that lampstands, the stars, which are the angels of the 7 churches are separate from the churches, because they are the angels of those churches.

My only question is: How does one send mail to an angel?

Revelation 1:20

The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Could this be similar to Daniel 10?

A lot of scholars think its overseers, because angel just means "messenger." However, whither its an angel that is just a human minister or the race of beings that are not human is debated. I am inclined in the context of the verse to think overseer, because Jesus is rebuking the churches, and talking about taking lampstands away.

I am wrestling with Revelation myself. Half of the Scholars when it was canonized, rejected it, including Augustine of Hippo. It is debated if its John the Apostle or John the Mystic, an ascetic of Patmos wrote it.

The problem is it has so much detail about the antichrist (Revelation 13, in particular) and the New Heaven and Earth described (Revelation 21) that it invaluable. And yet what is curious is Jesus in the Gospels never mentions a singular man or nation as The Beast, He simply says, "there will be false christs and false prophets who will decieve if possible the Elect." (Matthew 24:24).

I have always considered Revelation canon, and I choose to continue to do so, but I admit that Jesus in it is not remotely close to the gospels, and comes across very Medieval and harsh, which is puzzling. People attribute it to the Lion of Judah side of Jesus, and that may well be, for Paul says, "Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off." (Romans 11:22).

Any commentaries ive read say they are the church leaders. But Revelation is a tough read for me so im not sure of who the angels were.

Angels are messengers. Presumably John knew who they were and how to communicate with them.

I'm guessing that the angels were human messengers, and not necessarily overseers of the seven churches.
