I am really sorry but Android devices are the only ones that i don't have to test things with.
Maybe @Lynx might help or anyone else who has an Android?
I do know that on phones you have to press and hold the thumbs up emoji, so the rest of the emojis show up.
Have you tried that? Give that a shot, maybe it will work.

Huh. I thought that was fixed for everyone. I use about Android and mines been working for a few weeks now.
I use Opera as my browser, not the defaults that come pre-installed.
But for now if you press and hold the button that opens up emojis, keep holding and slide your finger up to where the emojis are, it will display the names and emoji as you slide your finger across. Settle on one then lift your finger.
Not ideal, but should work until you solve the issue.
