Thinking about the Jews asking Jesus to restore the Kingdom to Israel . To what were they referring ? The reign of Solomon springs to mind , mostly because it was a time of peace and prosperity for the Israelites at that time . There was one big fault with that kingdom and sadly it was it's king , Solomon loved many strange women who enticed his heart away from worshipping the Only God to worshipping idols 🤨 . The Kingdom of God is the exact opposite ! Instead of Solomon we have Christ , who takes his bride from all nations and brings them to The Only True Everlasting God Almighty The Holy One Of Israel ! 😁 . How fab is that ?!?!?!

Also , Genesis chapter 11 verses 1-9 , God confounds the language of those who build the tower , I think because they were putting their trust in it to save them , whereas Christ says : if I be lifted up ( like the tower ) I shall draw all mem to me . The tower was built by men to b a refuge from trouble , Christ is our refuge in times of trouble , the language was confounded by God then in Acts chapter 2 , we c how God flips that around as : verse 6 the multitude were confounded because that every mam heard them speak in his own language ! How awesome is that ? ! 😲 .

Very fab, and quite awesome!
And utterly sad the obstinate do not see it that way (Matt.13:14-15).

When Jesus was asked by Jews to restore the Kingdom of Israel, he responded by saying: "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place." John 18:36
This suggests that Jesus' kingdom is not a physical or earthly one, but rather a spiritual one. He did not come to restore a political kingdom to Israel, but rather to establish a spiritual kingdom of God.

Yes ! Sister ! That is very "fabulous" :) And as we, become Israel, IN CHRIST, we become His chosen people, "children of God" and co-heirs with Christ, destined for Heaven .. YAY !! & Amen !!

... and your right, the people of Babylon, were not believing God, when he said in Genesis 9, "And I establish My covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."

Babylon, built their tower, to reach heaven by their own works, and to escape any "potential future flood" They then established a "religion" unto themselves, as you said, "to save them" selves. This same religion, is still the most predominate "religion: in the world today. People trying to save themselves, by there own handiwork, self-righteous beliefs, twisting and manipulating God's Word to suit themselves ..................... Rather than Believing Jesus !

We've established false religions, ( 2Thes.2, 2Tim3:4-7 et.al), based on what WE WANT = "selfishness", as did King Nebuchadnezzar. The same self-dependence that characterize Cain's actions, Gen 4, in bringing what he considered worthy for an offering to God, rather than what God wanted. Salvation by works, rather than by Faith, in Christ alone.

We have a parallel spirit of Babylon, leading us astray, to destruction in direct opposition to God's Plan, and MOST people are deceived and unaware of this DANGER.

They didn't want the Romans in their land.

They actually lived very good under the Romans. Planted, Harvested, Built, had the Temple, had access to and from the nations from which they lived.

Maybe the fact that they had it so good was part of the reason they rejected Jesus ?

John 18 is what jesus said to Pilate at his trial when asked if he was asked if he was king of the Jews

“Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:33-36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Are you referring to when they asked him when he would restore the kingdom ? He just tells them it’s not for them to know the father alone knowsthe times and seasons …..

“When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭1:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Translator's do not know if he was a Carpender. The Greek associated with wood or stone word here means a craftsman or artisan.

In Hebrew it means carver which is also associated with the shaping of wood or stone also.
