Site keeps crashing

for a while now at least on my end the site keeps going down sometimes for a few days or so is there a way to fix this and why does it keep happening?

Yes, it crashed multiple times for me as well recently.

I wish I knew why it does that

I want to try to get a hold of the mods and let them know but they aren't online much

Hi Owner of the forums,

Did you switch to a new web hosting service? If so, it's not that great - it can get sluggish and oftentimes the entire website is inaccessible.

Or is it the software? Is it trying new things that's messing up accessing the forums?

Anyway, will pray for this website to be fixed. There are other Christian forums, but I like this one the most!

If this has been a months long issue, we can't presume the owner knows about this.

You can if you have been on this site for many years and know enough about the people that run the site.

I was having the site crash a lot last week.

The real question is-- what are they doing about the problem?

That is somewhat accurate, but the real issue is not the 4000 users here, which most of them are search engines of some kind.
The issue wouldn't even be 10,000 users at the same time.

The real issue is that this site is sharing space with other websites who could have 4000-10,000 users each visiting them.
And on peak hours which is usually afternoon and evening/late evening EST, then the server crashes from overload.

It shares sites? that is interesting I didn't know that what sites do you think it shares?

At least for now on my end it has stopped crashing how is it on everyone else's end?

Think of A server, which is a computer , as a landlord trying to make money by renting apartments.

A responsible landlord rents just an apartment with 3 rooms inside.
But a greedy landlord can rent out 3 rooms inside 1 apartment.

When you do this, you put an overload on the plumbing and electrical system when each tenant loads up their room with refrigerators, vacuums, space heaters other electronics and they all use the showers at the same time.
The electrical breakers will trip or the main water pipe will get blocked.

That’s what’s happening in the web, when a host (a person who sells space to others to host a site like this one ) overloads their servers by selling space to 100 customers on a server , instead of 10.
