My name is Martin and I try to be open-minded about religion, Christianity and the bible. I try to read myself into all this, but I hope I can find a personal exchange on this side. Please do not be offended by my lack of knowledge or maybe stupid question. I want to find out what people see in the bible and if it maybe can help me become a better person. During the last years my moral compass more and more struggles, maybe I can find some advice here.
First of all—thank you for your honesty and openness. That takes courage, and I deeply respect that. No question is stupid, and there’s absolutely no offense in where you’re at. In fact, your hunger to seek and understand already speaks volumes about your heart.
I’ve been on a journey myself—one filled with deep struggles, brokenness, and confusion. But the more I’ve returned to Scripture, the more I’ve found not just answers, but truth—living, breathing, uncomfortable at times, but life-changing. It's not just a book. It’s a mirror, a map, and sometimes a lifeline.
When my own moral compass was shattered, it wasn’t religion that saved me—it was the person of Jesus. His mercy. His patience. His confrontation of my sin. And His willingness to walk with me in it. I didn’t become a better person overnight, but I became a forgiven one—and that’s where real change started.
If you're looking for exchange, I’d be honored to talk more with you. Ask anything. Doubts and struggles don’t scare God—they’re often the soil where real faith grows.
You're not alone, and you're welcome here.
