Surprisingly, some people don't think he is. I know at least two people who think that. They say that he was just poured out during apostolic times. I wonder how many people believe that. Also, my daughter was telling me how shocked she was when the pastor at the church she was attending stated that you did not have to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to be saved. I would like to see how many people on this site believe that the Holy Spirit is not necessary for salvation. Please give your reasoning with your opinion.

Yes, the HS is actively loving the world, and believers reflect God's love to the world (John 3:16, Gal. 5:22-23).
Yes, the HS indwells believers when they repent and of ignorance and invite Jesus into their hearts (Rev. 3:20, Rom. 5:5).

You know Christ walked this earth for 30 years never healing one person never preaching nothing. It was only when the Holy Spirit come on Him "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor." The 120+ all saved. no? Were they not already filled baptized with the holy Spirit? No.. they had to wait for the promise and all were filled and HE said you shall recieve power after the holy Spirit comes on you.. (I love this song. There is Power in the name of Jesus). Its not a option like buying a car you don't care to get some extra options. He is a must for ever Christian. What does His word say about it? Now what some "Christians" personally believe.

If He said.. ask the Father .. He will give the holy Spirit to them that ask. Have you received the holy Spirit since you believed. Up to you. Again.. the 120 were all saved.. even before Christ rose (shouting time) He told the 12.. don't rejoice that demons are subject unto you but that your names are written in heaven. So that should answer you question.. if you ask me.

And yes at 15 saved.. the next day.. asked the Father for the Holy Spirit.. Praise GOD glory glory glory to Jesus.. its like day and night.. 65 now.. and how it can get better brighter.. every day.. haha praise GOD love it.. So if He not man.. He said ask.. you did John 3:16-17 well read Luke 11:13 and.. God said it.. your choice.. what matters is you are born again.. That is what matters most

Yes, He's very active but not in the way He was during apostolic times. The Holy Spirit doesn't always manifest through signs, wonders and miracles; He manifests in many different ways and for a variety of reasons. And without the Holy Spirit salvation is not possible.

You certainly cannot be a Christian without the Holy Spirit:

(Rom 8:9) But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

It is by the Holy Spirit that we have a relationship with God and are compatible with Him for salvation.

The blood washing away our sins makes us a clean vessel, new creature, in which we can receive the Spirit.

Some people deny the power thereof and they do not come to the truth(2 Timothy 3:4-7.

They say that he was just poured out during apostolic times

Those of Israel under the kingdom gospel would have the holy Spirit pour out on them to testify to the truth of the offer of the kingdom. That this was temporary can be seen in Hebrews;

Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

The gospel of grace given to Paul for the gentiles provides for a believer to be placed into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit and also have the Spirit indwelll and work within us as far as he is not quenched of grieved.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Yes, and yes.

For God the Father sent the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ to teach us all things.

There is no more despicable sin in the eyes of God than blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

John chapter 14
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

I was talking to the people who directly hear it preached around them that the Holy Spirit is not needed to be saved.
It's better to be hopeful for one's salvation than complacent with their condemnation.

Are you sure they are saying the Holy Spirit was only for apostolic times, or the gifts of tongues, knowledge and prophecy are only for those times?

The Holy Spirit does alot more than the gifts of the Spirit. Limiting some of the gifts for those times, isn't denying salvation thru believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit will be here at least until the Two Witnesses ascend back to Heaven and possibly beyond that for the 144k.

It would be impossible for the Two Witnesses to perform the miracles Revelation speak about with the Power of God.

Therefore the Holy Spirit has been here since Yeshua was here and more specifically the Upper Room.
