There are many examples of people that were ignorant to the truth.I have been convicted of much sin in my life ever since I got saved:
IE, impure thoughts/lust, failing to love others as I should, telling fibs(when I was young) and much more besides. I have felt immense guilt because of it. And I did NOT have to firstly read of law written in ink to be conscious of sin
But I have never been conscious of sin in regard to not following all of Torah
And God will wink at their ignorance.
But if you have the opportunity to know the truth and refuse will God hold you guiltless?
Paul was ignorant about Jesus and was killing those that followed Him.
Then THE TRUTH WAS REVEALED.
He saw the light.
Knowing the truth changed Paul from a Christian murderer to a teacher, leading people to love Christ.
The truth will set you free.
The problem is, some people read the Bible fully convinced before the words can change them. They refuse to see the light.
There is lots of reasons and bible verses to know that the 10 commandments are still important to obey today.
Not because they have saving power but because of our love for the Saviour.
But if you are not willing to see the clear truth you are no different then the people in Jesus's day. They had so such evidence and even more evidence in the old testament scriptures that Jesus was the Messiah. But they crucified Him.
Will they be able to claim ignorance?
All I can do is share the verses..
I'm not claiming to know more but I know that the 10 commandments are important to God. The evidence is huge when you are able to see clearly.
You can pray and ask God to reveal His truth. Not the truth you want or you think is right but Gods truth.
