Of course not, I've read the old testament many times. Everything was finished before the foundation of the earth. He wrote a book about it. God said he would give nations kings and when nations don't listen, there are consequences. What's happening and is going to happen and the vanity of man surely plays a part. The scary part is God warning us about what happened to the people He saved out of the land of Egypt.
