God showed His ways to Moses, and His acts to Israel (psalm 103:7). For Moses, it was not enough to see God's acts. Moses had seen God's power in miraculous ways. Even the fact that he survived a face to face meeting with Pharaoh is amazing. Why did Pharaoh not have Moses killed immediately?

After 10 terrible plagues, Moses led Israel out of Egypt and into the wilderness. Israel took Egypt's wealth and livestock. Egypt's army was destroyed in the Red Sea. Israel was protected by God's mighty power. Yet still the people complained.

Moses soon realised that he was unable to lead the nation freed from slavery. He knew God already, speaking with God in the tent of meeting. So he did the only sensible thing. He sought God for more. His experience to that time was not enough. So he asked God to reveal His ways.

God graciously obliged. You can read this in Exodus 33 & 34.

Many believers have only book knowledge of God. It is not enough, especially in this age of confusion, doubt, unbelief and increasing hostility to the true church. Lord Jesus defined eternal life as this: "Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent." John 17:3 As an aside, those who are waiting until death to receive eternal life are going to be disappointed. Eternal life is "Now", not at the end of our days on earth.

It took me many years to realise that God wanted me to know Him. I was like a feral cat, mistrusting, independent, and suspicious. Even after I was born again, it took time to shed those wrong attitudes. Now I know God and I know that He wants everyone to know Him.

How do we get to know God better? It takes time. It takes communication. Moses spoke to God and God spoke to Moses. Everyone in Israel could have done the same. But they had the wrong kind of fear that held them back. God's promise is this:

"Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." James 4:8

"Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water." Hebrews 10:22

Does it matter? Yes. We live in perilous times. "With flattery he will corrupt those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him." Daniel 11:32. While the literal Antichrist has yet to appear, the spirit of Antichrist abounds. Knowing God is they key to discernment and strength to resist.

Amen. The atheist spirit appeared to A&E and has tempted every soul since,
so we all must learn via knowing GW better to resist hatred and deceit (Eph. 4:11-15).

2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

We can have a personal relationship with God.

But God will not interact with us like He did with Moses, Israel, the people seeing Jesus, the disciples, and Paul.

Because it is of faith and it would violate faith.

They did not need faith for they seen.

People say I seen Jesus, I heard a thunderous voice from God, but they did not.

Lay off the drugs, stop stressing out, and do not confuse a dream as reality.

They might be trying to convince you they are special that they can receive things that the common, back of the Church, peasantry ridden saint cannot receive.

For some do come across like that.

Hearken unto me they cry out, listen to what I have to say, for I have seen things of great wonder that you cannot fathom, and have knowledge that you cannot perceive.

It is by faith and God gives the same wisdom to all people that ask nothing wavering.

Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

But one day the world will know about God but it will be too late for they cannot have faith to be saved.

The Hebrew word “yada” refers to intimate relationships/knowledge gained by experience, such as with Genesis 4:1 where Adam knew (yada) Eve, she conceived, and gave birth to Cain. God’s way is the way to know (yada) Him and Jesus by having the experience of embodying His character traits, which is the narrow way to eternal life (John 17:3). For example, in Genesis 18:19, God knew (yada) Abraham that he would teach his children and those of His household to walk in His way by being doers of righteousness and justice that the Lord might bring to him all that He has promised. In Exodus 33:13, Moses wanted God to be gracious to him by teaching him to walk in His way that he and Israel might know (yada) Him, in 1 Kings 2:1-3, God taught how to walk in His way through the Law of Moses, and in Matthew 7:23, Jesus said that he would tell those who are workers of lawlessness to depart from him because he never knew them, so the goal of the Law of Moses is to graciously teach us how to experience an intimate relationship with God and Jesus by walking in His way, which is His gift of eternal life.

Christ spent his ministry teaching his followers to obey the Law of Moses by word and by example, so he is the man of lawfulness, which is in contrast with the Antichrist who is the man of lawlessness (2 Thessalonians 2:3).

I guess you already forgot we discussed faith at length a few weeks ago. why would you respond as if we'd never talked about it.

The one thing God responds to the most is honesty.

But since you jumped in, i could use some clarification on your statement.

you said "I understand it as surrendering one's life to Christ's lordship."

You added the word Lordship where it doesn't belong.

Do you understand faith to be a total surrendering of your life and will over to Him? Or, Do you understand faith to be surrendering "Lordship" over your life? Do you understand faith is keeping your life , but surrendering Him to be lord over it?

Can you see the difference?

I thought you would perceive my response (I understand it as surrendering one's life to Christ's lordship) as remembering our former discussion.

I understand Lordship to mean "a total surrendering of your life", as indicated in #4&5 of the creed:

That's what i call the most dishonest thing people can do on these kinds of sites, misrepresentation!

The more i dig into you about the surrendered life, the more you respond with misrepresentations. Is there a reason for that?

New covenant, new life, new law. New. You live under the old. There is no grace and no salvation under the old covenant. Have you cut off your hand and plucked out an eye yet? That's what it takes to enter the Kingdom of God under law. I'll stick to grace, thanks all the same.​

The New Covenant still involves following the Torah (Jeremiah 31:33, Ezekiel 36:26-27). In Psalms 119:29-30, he wanted to put false ways far from him, for God to be gracious to him by teaching him to obey the Torah, and he chose the way of faith by setting it before him, so this has always been the one only way of salvation by grace through faith. Nowhere does the Bible say that the way to enter the Kingdom of God is by cutting off your hand and plucking out an eye, but rather it says that the way to enter it is by repenting from our disobedience to the Torah. I'm not sure what that has to do with what I post said in regard to the way to know God. The way to know God is not by refusing to follow His instructions for how to know Him. Grace is not a license to sin.

You appear to be a Judaizer, but we hope you will become a Christian.
You are correct that the Gospel does not teach cheap grace,
but salvation is via faith/cooperating with the indwelling Holy Spirit,
which means obeying the Torah has been superseded by divine love.
