This is my life and testimony.
Let’s just start from the beginning:
I was born and raised in a Baptist Church going Family. I loved God while I was growing up.
When I became a teenager, I started pulling away. I was looking for love in all the wrong places, surrounding myself with people who used foul language like it was water, and began using the Internet for all the wrong things. Just hearing God‘s name made me roll my eyes. I didn’t realize how bad it was that I was far away from God.
Up until I was 18, I went to a church that I liked at first. I rededicated my life to God. I had a good friend that I talked about God with. He rededicated his life and got baptized. And I never heard from him again. Then I started falling off the wagon.
I lived a life of adultery. I moved in with a man. I didn’t even know. Two years later, I got married to a different man I barely knew. He was raised in a southern Baptist home, where his father and grandfather, both, were pastors in their churches. I acted like my life was right with God when it really wasn’t. My ex-husband and I fought almost every day. Screaming and shouting at each other. We lasted five years. The divorce was hard for me because some part of me did love him.
Right after I got divorced, I got into another relationship. A relationship with my best friend of many, many years. He was by my side through everything: the divorce, through the fighting I had with my ex ex-husband, surgeries and so many other things. He was so good to me. I loved the life I had with him. But God didn’t love my life.
I got into witchcraft while I was with him: doing spells, meditating several times a day, smoking marijuana for recreational use and to open my third eye, I called on the elements during spells, and experienced in paranormal hunting. I even had a haunted doll. My life was so dark. I didn’t even realize who I was until my boyfriend and I split up. But we talked every day because he was still my best friend.
One night after work, I was battling spiritual warfare. The only person I could call to help me was my sister. I felt things that I never thought I would feel. I saw things I never thought I would see. I even heard things I never thought I would hear. I was terrified. I surrendered not just my witchcraft, but everything that I was holding onto that kept me from God. I admitted out loud that I am a sinner, I believed with my whole heart that Jesus is Lord, and confessed all of my sins. I asked God for forgiveness.
In my darkness, I saw myself drowning until I saw a hand reach down for me. I grabbed that gentle hand. As I was pulled up, I felt like I dropped out of one of Jesus’s scars in blood (not exaggerating) and envisioned putting on the full armor of God. I can’t tell you how many demons left me that night because there were so many. I will never forget the night I surrendered everything.
After I changed my life, I got back together with my boyfriend. We went to church together, we prayed together and we did our best to keep God at the center of our relationship. Until we moved in to our own house together. We were together five years when we moved into that house. We were engaged to be married. He wasn’t around because he was an over the road truck driver. So he was gone weeks and months at a time and home a few days. I got lonely and I invited my sister and her fiancé to live with us because they were struggling with living arrangements. My boyfriend didn’t really like it but accepted it because I felt like I needed to help them any way I possibly could.
In October 2025, he left me again, this time, for good. I lost the house and a lot of my belongings. My sister, her fiancé and I were all homeless living in a car with nine cats and three dogs (8 of the cats are hers). We drove out of state to try and find a place to live. We did DoorDash every single day and every single night to make money to feed our animals. We barely had enough to feed ourselves.
In mid November 2025, my sisters, so-called “friend” (my sister’s story to tell) invited us to live with her and her husband. They had a garage that was open for us and had plenty of room. I didn’t feel comfortable there at all, so I called my parents and told them that I wanted to come home. My mother had friends at work that put money together to get me a flight home. It was also my first flight. I packed up my stuff except for my babies and left them behind.
I went straight home to better my life for God and to relearn who I truly am in God‘s eyes.
I’m still at my parent’s house to this day, doing the best that I can to get back on my feet. My babies are even here with me and I couldn’t be happier. But the main thing in my life is that I’m keeping my God first. I’ve dealt with so much in my life, that now I just wanna relax in God‘s arms so he can take me where he wants me to go.
