I'm very sad. I just got dumped by the second man I thought was the love of my life. I don't know if I can fall in love again. Also he was going to take me out of my abusive family situation. Yesterday he was promising to be with me forever and today he helps me. Honestly, I just need some help. And even more honestly, I want a date. IDK what to do. 20 year old Female

That's tough, im sorry to hear you're in such an emotionally difficult situation. Something that has helped me is the simple reminder "I may be lonely but I am never alone." God is always with us. I pray you can seek God during this season and find comfort in the fact he has a plan for you, and its the best possible plan. We just have to have faith in him.

I just feel like God has been ignoring me. Every time I ask to talk he doesn't. And today my life was turned upside down. Where is he? I fell my heart dying and where is he?
You are only 20 years old.

You have plenty of time for God to bring the perfect mate to you.

I got saved as a teenager.

My first wife when I was in my 20s cheated on me repeatedly. I divorced her. My world was turned upside down and I hated the very words “marriage”, “wedding”, and “wife” for decades. My misadventures in backsliding and fornication began, which I regret.

Then, at age 50, sick and tired of sinning and dating unsaved women, I finally turned to God and said, “Lord, I need a wife”.

Two years later, God brought the perfect wife to me. I was made a Sunday school teacher and she was assigned to be my assistant. We fell in love quickly and got married.

21 years of bliss. Then, two years ago, she died. My godly, intelligent, thoroughly Christian wife. We were truly one flesh.

I am devastated by grief, disoriented by lack of sweet companionship. But now it’s just me and Jesus. He will carry me through this valley of the shadow of death.

I pray for you, my sister. You have youth as a super power. You have much to hope for. My only hope now is going to heaven.

I feel your pain. There's probably nothing that can take away that except the Lord's comfort.
If you want to know where God is, I can show you.

God knows best. He doesn't want you to go through abuse and at the same time does not want you to be with a man who is not Christian minded. If he has not the character to or is not ready for marriage, he should not invite you to live with him.
God has a way of doing things and most people ruin their marriage before they ever make that solomn covenant.

I had asked 2 ladies to marry me. During the engagements, God revealed things about them that they hid. They lied to me and put on a show, but God knew and protected me from a demon possessed whorish woman and another who was way outside God's written will for me.
I had no way to know, but looking back He meant it for my own good. Perhaps that's your case too.

That's very sweet but I'm just scared. I wanted to be a stay at home wife and now I may not be till much later in life. Like all my goals and dreams were going to be given to me by this man and he discarded me over night. How can I ever trust a man again?

Yeah this man was kind of violent and not very Christan, but he was good to me, and was going to give me the life of my dreams. Now those dreams are gone. I don't think I could ever love again

If he was violent the Bible has a prohibition to avoid him.

The Bible has a lot of wisdom and applications. That's what you can focus on with God's help. Get a king James Bible with big enough font to read easily. Write in the margins where the Lord speaks to you. Keep a prayer journal for requests, answers and thing you want to talk to Him about. Start the day with this and finish the day reading a chapter or more.
Start with the gospel of John.
Pray before reading and He will share good things to help.
I will pray for you now.

There's other things that will help,. This is enough for now tomorrow I will share the next step. Sleep well.

Sounds like God is protecting you from a violent unsaved man who might have cheated on you or killed you. You probably were not with him long enough to really know him.

You did not love him anyway, you loved the easy life you thought he could give you as a stay at home wife, which in today’s economy is not as common as it was in the 1950s.

Just pray for me everyone!
I've been around the block a few times and have made some bad choices. I can't blame God if I put trust in someone without knowing them well enough. As Christians we don't let emotions control us, but the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. I suggest you get into the New Testament and find that God is Love and loves us but ideally it's up to us to seek Him in everything we do first, esp relationships. I certainly cannot blame God for any decisions I made on my own.
You're 20 and sound worried about marriage, you should slow down and build yourself up in Jesus. Then you'll be ready to know a good Christian man and be equally yoked.
Btw my attitude has always been if me and someone didn't work out....why force it or be sad. There's no point in wasting time. Live your life to serve the Lord in whatever your capacity is. The Bible says 'Seek you first the Kingdom of Heaven and all things will be added unto you'.
Take it easy, Rome wasn't built in a day, lol. Blessings😊🙏💕

Hello and welcome to the site! I'm sorry that you are in pain, but I promise it will pass.

If you are wondering where God is right now, perhaps He is right beside you, protecting you from a man who is "kind of violent and not very Christian". The same man who has also demonstrated that his promises mean nothing. Your dreams would have turned into nightmares, trust me. Look to Jesus, He always has your back and He loves you more than you could know ❤
