There you go again, trying to say single people are more holy than married people.

It is a pride problem you have. You keep trying to make yourself feel like you are better than those heathen, carnal people who committed matrimony.
That's funny, I never mentioned "marriage" or "married" once in this post. And if I remember it right, Jesus came for the downtrodden, that was like the theme of the beatitudes, right?

What? You think all those people who are already married just happened to fall into a relationship? You think NONE of them actively looked for a spouse?

You basically called married people less holy than single people.

Again.

Desire for dating with another person to complete your life is innately a sign of discontentment with Jesus.

And how do you know that this is the hidden motive of every person who desires marriage? How can you know that?

If you're truly content with the Lord, it is in your conviction that Lord Jesus is enough, you're more than conquerers, than you wouldn't need validation from somebody else.

Desiring romance/marriage/sex is totally normal and a normal part of being human. Though not everyone is like that. Paul wasn't like that, for example. But in 1 Corinthians 7 even Paul admits that not everyone is like him.

You date because you're insecure, out of a scarcity mentality, you're concerned about loneliness, peer pressure, who's gonna care for you when you're old, blah blah blah, deep down you don't trust God with your future, you have to find a mate to fix your sin of "singleness". If that's you, friend, go ahead.

Again, how can you know this?

I'm not here to argue, I just wanna tell you that Lord Jesus has liberated me from all these desires you've been repeatedly trying to convince me as "OK". May God bless you, friend, thank you for the entertainment.

You're mistaken. In whatever way they fell into relationship, that's between them and God, since God joined them together - as long as it was really God, not dating app or fornication joined them together.

I just know, from the bottom of my heart, I've been there in discontent, sulking and self pitying; with Lord Jesus, no more.

I think he just missed arguing with Rod.

Awww!! Rod, he misses you!!! 😊

And of course your reason is EVERYBODY'S reason, by simple... uh...

Wait, which logic principle covers this again?
1 Cor. 6:12. It's not for everyone, the choice is yours, so is the risk and consequences.

Psalm 91: 1

It is throughout scripture, God call us to be in His shelter, boundary, so that we will have rest in Him.

This is also true in dating, marriage.

Many people and myself in church circles are experiencing this blessings. We found faithful brothers sisters, we fellowship, some married, some single. Either way, still are growing in faith walk.

The common goal is to know we are not alone, God surrounds us with faithful believers just like us. No one is better. If dating for a while realizing not good match, just politely say nicing meeting you. God put the person in your path to help you grow.

Many got married through office dating, church dating, neighbors dating, online dating. They also still are growing their faith in marriage 💑. It is not always a smooth ride, but trust in God and stick to God's covenant.

Peace and joy to all, in Jesus.

Every Christian who desires romance/marriage is guilty of being discontent with Jesus. These people are, apparently, not "true Christians." And you just know this. From the bottom of your heart.

Alright, then!

It's not for everyone, so you argue that if ANYONE pursues it then they are lustful and carnal?
Hmm, speaking of "epic misunderstanding," lol. What I'm arguing is simply, that "dating" is a modern invention, there's no biblical justification for it. The ideal setting is to pair up with an ordinary mate from the neighborhood and grow into each other's ideal mate, not shopping for a ready-made partner that only exists in fiction. In other words, "cornerstone model" vs "topstone model". Maybe you guys are blessed with that "ideal setting" for "cornerstone model", idk, but not me, and I don't mind it. It's just fate.

Yes, if they use Jesus as a matchmaker for such desires. Laugh as you want, from the bottom of my heart I know for sure that Lord Jesus didn't die for your desires for romance/marriage.

I understand. There was a time, not long ago, when people woke up without radio, TV, internet, fake bibles, cars, etc... Things were much different then.

Jesus didn't die for my desire for a car, a home or a decent-paying job, either. I guess I should just forget about that stuff, then!

I'm sorry, Lynx. You're going to have to give up that, too.

After all, Jesus never ate chocolate, did He? Neither did Paul. So give it all up.

Jesus ate all organic non polluted food, no chemicals, no GMO, ...
We should be like Jesus, no more fake food!!!
Also no more fake love!!! We want true love 💘
