What advice do you have for students graduating this month? I thought I'd pass this advice that was given to me by Rev. E. S. Anderson on.

Students, continue your education. Continue to grow. Look back and forget, look forward and press onward, look inward and concentrate, and look upward and hope.

I add this. The future is yours.

That’s good advice. Graduation is really the beginning of the next stage, not the end of learning. I’d add that students shouldn’t feel pressured to have their entire future figured out immediately. Keep learning, stay curious, build relationships, and don’t be tempted by shortcuts such as Quick Diplomas when a legitimate qualification requires real study and effort. Most importantly, enjoy the achievement and take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come. The future really is yours to shape.
 
My father told me if not established by 25, you are a loser. Job skills-wise. Could include owning a home.
 
My grandpa always said, "do the best that you can today and the future will take care of itself."

My dad always said, "failure is only the beginning, don't be afraid to try again."

I always told my children, "If you don't try, you will always fail."
