Do you live in a mansion, or are you familiar with people that do?
Obviously it's expensive to run and maintain a mansion, so how do you do it? Do you have live-in servants, pay someone to come in to clean it, or use your children/family as domestic slaves? Who does the housekeeping?
What happens when you go on holiday, who looks after the mansion?
How many guest rooms do you have, and do you have guests often?
Do you entertain much?
Is your garage more than 3 cars, or so you park all your cars/vehicles on the driveway? Do you have a chauffeur, butler, or maid? A footman (what does he do, shine your shoes?) ? Do you have a cottage where the gardener lives, and what about security? Bodyguards or cameras, high fences, hedges or barbed wire? Who washes all your windows and vacuums all your carpets? Who looks after your antiques/art/precious possessions? Is your wardrobe walk-in?
I want to know how the other half really live...
I mean Downton Abbey was interesting, but that's only in the UK and specific to one household in the past. I want to know what happens in today's world. Also would your mansion/manor/residence be historical, or is it a new build, and does it have columns like Scarlett's Tara?
I mean no shade to anyone that lives in one and can afford it, you must obviously be doing well. It wouldn't be boasting to lay bare on what it takes to run one, should I ever be invited to one. Maybe you inherited it. IDK. Hope someone replies.
Jesus did promise something about mansions after all...and preparing a place for us.
