If you are familiar with the history of the Gulf of America you know he is not bluffing!

Donald Trump has done more to revive the sale of maps than any other US president in history.

Also this appeals to students, if everything is named "America" then geography is a lot easier.

Meanwhile this will confuse any countries trying to invade America. Imagine Chinese coming from Canada who are ordered to invade America from Lake America. They ask the Canadians where that is and they keep saying that is Lake Ontario! Same thing with a Russian fleet trying to invade America from the Gulf of Mexico and all the signs posted on buoys say "Gulf of America". This is brilliant!


We know that NYC is a target, time to rename that Donald Trump City, or DTC.

BTW there is a crazy, crazy conspiracy theory about this. Donald Trump declared a national emergency yesterday about China trying to take down the grid in the US. However, according to this nutty theory by tin foil hat conspiracy theorists, the time dedicated to Trump changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America is taking up 40x more air time than some trivial story about China trying to take down the grid and send the US back to the 1800s! So they are theorizing that this incredibly important story about changing the name of Lake Ontario is just a diversion to distract people from life as we know it coming to an end.
