There was a company that made news one year. Because their employees volunteered to get chip implants.
News covered the procedure. The excuse? We can clock in faster.
We already have the National ID. Without it you can't board commercial flights or enter federal buildings.
I don't have one.
But last week my husband got the notice for his driving license renewal.
Nothing about the regular license renewal. Just page after page describing the Federal ID.
I'm waiting to hear a new addition to it being retinal scan. Your scam is secured by a chip in the I D.
Then your retina will eventually have to be scanned for confirmation when entering a federal building or trying to board a commercial flight.
I always thought the Mark would be something each individual had to choose to take or not. But thinking back on the verses...I don't think it says that. So I guess it could be a SSN?
Except... if it's NOT an individual choice and it is, say, a SSN, then newborns are doomed because of a decision their parents make?
Also...are SSN a worldwide thing or just in the USA?

In America babies can be issued a SSN shortly after they're born. It occurs in timing with issuance of their Birth Certificate. Which also has a number usually in the top right corner.
The SSN form is referred to as, issuance at birth form.
Most every country has a number issued to newborns.
I have a friend that use to volunteer at a hospital in Florida.
He said besides foot prints taken of newborns,many hospitals around the nation were considering chip implants for newborns.
Years ago my God daughter was born in a Tampa hospital.
The week after her discharge two babies were taken out of the newborn nurseries.
The women were dressed like nurses.
Hospitals Look at Microchips for Baby Tracking, Records
Radio frequency identification chips that keep track of pets and library books are being used in a whole new way.
A growing number of hospitals are using baby trackers called "baby Lo-Jack."
From the very first few seconds of life, a newborn is the focus of attention.
During the following days, a parade of doctors, nurses and well-wishers will touch and hold a newborn. The last thing anyone wants is someone taking away this precious gift.
"I don't even want to imagine it. It's terrifying," said one nurse.
Another nurse said, "We are always checking, checking, checking on the babies."
Infant abduction is not a crime that happens very often, but it is something every parent and hospital should be prepared for.
One hospital administrator said, "There have been some abductions and that's why we have what we call baby Lo-Jack."
Baby Lo-Jack is actually known as the HUGS Security System, which uses radio frequency microchips to keep track of newborns and children during their stay in the hospital.
Local hospitals with the system were reluctant to talk to 10News, citing security reasons.
However, at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio, some hospital staff members said they see the system as a deterrent and want to get the word out.
"As soon as the baby is bathed we put (the device) on," said nurse Stacey Seit.
The HUGS tag placed on an infant's ankle or wrist contains a microchip and an antenna.
"If anybody tries to get past this door here, in this hallway, the alarm goes off. The baby can't get past it," said Seit.
Exit points throughout the hospital are electronically monitored.
10News ran an experiment that showed how quickly nurses and security personnel reacted when the tag makes its way past certain doors.
"It's a nice comfort for me as a parent to know that my baby's safe," said new mom Jennifer Estrada.
Estrada said she felt secure that her newborn daughter, Aleena, was being protected from the very start.
There have been more than 200 infant abductions in the U.S. over the last 22 years.
Half of the abductions occurred in health care facilities.
Now, some hospitals have been looking at radio identification tags that could be implanted under the skin of some patients.
By implanting such a chip with a patient's medical record, hospitals and emergency workers could immediately gain access to an ill or injured person's medical history regardless of location.
Oh, I dont disbelieve it or think it a conspiracy. Sent the video to my husband and he watched it, too. We JUST got wifi...kicking myself for giving in. My gut instinct is to ditch the wifi and our phones but can we really escape it? Husband says it's the world we live in. Hate this for my kids, though.
Escaping it is a matter of degree - partially, by virtue of your decisions. For example, the more you are willing to use direct-connect hard lines instead of wifi - the more you close that gap of opportunity for it to be abused or adversely affect your health. Flock Safety -- a tech surveillance firm that makes AI-enabled cameras that scans and collects license plate information -- announced new guardrails Thursday after multiple reports ofabuse by law enforcement and amid growing public backlash over mass surveillance technology.
The new safeguards include requiring law enforcement to label every search with a with a criminal case number, and instituting an automatic review for abnormal search activities, which will trigger proactive lockouts for those users.
The company also said it will introduce a seven-day data retention default instead of the past default of 30 days.

Data from Flock's 120,000 cameras across the U.S. can be shared by police departments with other agencies throughout the country, but now, cities can choose the type of offenses other agencies can access through their cameras.
"For example, City A could allow City B to search its cameras only for a stolen vehicle, missing person, or violent crime while blocking searches related to immigration enforcement," Flock CEO Garrett Langley, wrote in a blog post announcing the new safety controls on the company’s website.
