To address the OP, there are various reasons for such a mix-match of agreement/disagreement with scripture and the majority of it doesn't come down to lack of scripture itself. The majority problem, in my opinion, is people are taught scripture instead of understanding it. People go to schools, universities and sit in church and are spoon fed whatever they are supposed to believe. There's no testing, there's no discernment, it's just acceptance because maybe they trust the teacher, or maybe it sounds reasonable, or everyone else agrees, so should I.

Don't automatically assume people are proud just because they reject your interpretation of scripture. Some people are blind, some people are deaf (and I mean those 2 symbolically) and some people have too much faith in the inerrancy of teachers today in general because they fear them being wrong, because that means they trusted someone who is wrong, or that what they believed for x number of years is wrong.

There's a lot of psychological reasoning that goes into this and to classify it as merely pride, just makes your OP come off proud itself.

But that's my 2 cents.

Absolutely! There will come a day when all truth about scripture will be revealed and there won't be any disagreements anymore on it. Until that day, we learn, we study, we ask God for understanding and we just do the best we can. For the people who are proud, well... let them do them then... Only God can humble the proud. Just as only God can make a person see.

1 Corinthians 8​

My friend authority will always be challenged....it started in the garden of Eden.
What a perfect forum it would be if everyone got it right boring but perfect.
Some here come to sharpen their sword of truth while others get a kick out of gaslighting.
Name calling and rude remarks I agree are not called for hence...ignore button.
My search has always been if one is in error how they arrived to that conclusion. Its been my belief that you can't correct if needed until you find the source.
I opened a thread which I asked for no debates, no politics, just the word on current events. Just to discuss what the Lord has shown you. I wasn't to take the lead hoping that discussion would free up those that were recluse from this forum.
We all share what we have come to believe and know as long as it isn’t a salvation issue we should learn to agree to disagree imo.
I think that's why the reign of Christ is so long.....to straighten us all out.

I like what they use to say.. who are you ..who knows you.. how long have you walked in what you teach and preach. Then they all would go pray. People need to stop going by the blueprint their Church lays down but check everything out themselves asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

But the problem is that some people will not let go of the flesh so faulty interpretation will happen.

Some are arrogant and will choose a Church in which they will fight and say we have the truth and you do not so ha ha.

And they fail to believe what their Church teaches is wrong and do not believe they have fault.

Their arrogance blinds them and they can't stand the fact that they believed what they said was wrong.

So their arrogance keeps them in place.

Some people like to cling on to a large denomination for it makes them feel special and share in the glory of that Church.

Like a person will claim to be a fan of Britney Spears or another celebrity that is popular as if they share in their glory for being a fan.

Some will not take the time to read the Bible or do Church functions so that frees them up to do what they want.

Like a child who does not want to do chores.

Whatever the case there will be misinterpretations.

The new age christianity that interprets the Bible and religions according to the occult and evolution, and people are going to evolve to be spiritual, and greater, and Jesus became an ascended master, and there is no personal God, and the New Age Christ is the final teacher.

Which the time will come that people will not want to hear the truth of the Bible but according to their own lusts.

The Bible has been preached for many years and this is the outcome that becomes popular and they stop the truth on a world wide level.

Telling people what they should do like return to scriptures has hardly any impact on people.

People will say my Church and interpretation is correct so what do you mean return to scriptures.

If people think they are in the truth why would they listen to someone that says return to scripture.

They will think there is no return for them.

The best thing we can do is give them an interpretation they can't shake to convince them.

But many will say that is your opinion.

All we can do is reach who we can reach but soon it will be no more for Christianity for the world although it is.

The remedy for pride and the flesh doesn't lie in the scriptures, but in a close relationship with the Father and His Son. Scripture's important, no question; but without a close relationship with God scripture can't fill a person's heart and transform them, it stays in their head.

I think we are dealing with a chicken-egg conundrum, because it is problematic to divorce the HS from GW (John 16:13, 1John 5:7).
And yes, the head and heart also should be connected/one (Rom. 5:5, 10:8-9).

The initial post seems to some degree a sort fishing escapade. Kind of like putting words out and if someone is offended then the hook is they're struggling with some sort of authority concerning Biblical structure and hierarchy.

I like the approach personally but wonder what transpired for the OP to address it.

The remedy for pride is the moral law of God. When one realizes they are in need of a savior.
