Can you provide a way to "give glory to God" ?
I want to see what you are seeking as a means to glorify the One due His glory.
Doesn't everything we do in Christ glorify God ?
I thought your explanation of brushing your teeth to the glory of God was good. I just don't believe you do that for every action you take.

So you sin a lot and because of that you assume everyone else does as well?

You provided fake examples that are not legitimate.

Does walking in love mean everyone agrees with everything you say? Seems to be the case.
I know the other dude says he never sins.
I haven’t heard if believe you never do as well.

Been doing some reading lately on christian doctrine and I keep running in to people saying it's normal to sin daily and it's not possible to stop living in sin. It's like they are saying there's no hope to be free from living in sin and they have just accepted that this is normal.

What sects are teaching this exactly, does anybody know?
Your in a war between the desires of the flesh and the Spirit.

Galatians 5:17
For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another,
so that you may not do the things that you please.

In time, this battle displays your full colors, that is, what you really believed from the very beginning.

When you pursue Jesus with your full heart sin decreases and whether sin completely disappears is questionable.

Without any bad thoughts I would probably lose that reliance on Jesus.

Rom. 7: 14 - 21 isn't one of them.
Sorry, but I'm not following you. ?
Paul was converted to Christianity when he wrote Rom 7, but he is speaking of his pre-conversion life in parts of Rom 7.
Come on, so he's saying he's in a state of sanctification while not being in Christ?
He had been made clean before writing anything now in the bible.
But in parts of Rom 7, he is alluding to his pre-conversion life.
Verse 5..."For when we WERE in the flesh"...
Verse 18..."For I know that in me (THAT IS IN MY FLESH) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not." Paul had already written in Rom 6:6 that the flesh is destroyed at its immersion into Christ's death, burial, and resurreection !
He is referring to his pre-conversion life.
Verse 23..."But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members."...
...answered in Rom 8:2..."For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Verse 24..."O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?...
...already answered in Rom 6:6..."Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."
Most of Rom 7 is Paul's recollection of his past under the Law, and then his emergence from it.

That's against the rules of every Christian community on the net.
Again, you’ve been on this site 2 months, yet trying to bully and set the rules for members that have been here for years and years.

Something tells me you’re not going to be here for terribly long.

So let's get to the point.

When he says, when i do what I don't want to do, it's not me doing it , but sin dwelling in me doing it.

That is present tense, not past tense.
He is talking about the new nature, sanctification.

It helps for context to read the whole chapter. However, a few verses should suffice here.

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

That teaching is from the perspective of the born again believer. Describing what it is to be made free from Sin. And why it is necessary.
It also forewarns the listener,if they think they have no sin, to be redeemed from, they're deceived, wrong.

If we are born with a Sin nature first, and later are called to Christ, and are reborn with a new nature in him, the old has fallen away and the new nature has come.

We can't be born again in Christ,in whom there is no darkness at all,and yet remain what we were prior when born with a Sin nature,as a Sinner, the first time.
That is an acceptable 'long-vesion', but I use the short-version answer...
Some of 1 John 1 is addressing those who walk in light-God, and other parts of 1 John 1 address those walking in darkness-sin.
Proverbe 4:19 says..."The way of the wicked is as darkness..." That "way" is sinful...ergo, darkness is sin !

Verses 5, 7, and 9, address those walking in (or about to walk in) the light...which verse 5 says is God.
Verses 6, 8, and 10, address those walking in darkness-sin.
There is no cross-over.
One is either in God, the light, or they are NOT !

Even the pure get tempted, but we can rely on the truth of 1 Cor 10:13..."There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

This is a false accusation. I haven't broached the subject of salvation. We're talking about sin.
You think couching your judgement in indirect language absolved you of responsibility?
Because you don't state outright you don't believe they are a Christian?

Your words aren't as clever as you think. And it is obvious that's precisely your intent.
Is bearing false witness sin?
Yes.

And you should respect the rules here and stop sinning in such a way.

That a Christian here says they are not a Sinner who Sins clearly struck a nerve with you.

Now,you're going to a new level. And being dishonest, as you go so far as to accuse one who states they are no longer a sinner who sins, which is Biblical, are not actually in Christ.
You think you couch that accusation in a way that hides your accusation.

In the process you prove your own doctrine. A Sinner who Sins.

Which is why you break the rules against accusing someone of not being in Christ. And then avoid responsibility because you won't stand by your own words.

It is beyond strange. That a Christian like yourself would insist you are a Sinner who Sins.
That's impossible.

Which is what you are doing when you try to imply that is the state of any Christian. We're still Sinners who Sin.

And then while opposed to someone rightly citing Scripture regarding Sinners and Sin,you try to challenge that by asking if someone glorifies God when brushing their teeth!

It's mockery.
A 21st century rewrite like what occurred in the Desert.
If you be the Son of God...

Jesus cites correct scripture to rebuff the adversary's challenge to righteous truth.

The adversary tries again, and again,to trip Jesus up as he accused Jesus of not being the son of God. And Jesus rebuffed the enemy with God's truth.Again and again.

Now it's the 21st century rewrite.

You're no longer a Sinner? You no longer Sin?
Well,do you glorify God when you brush your teeth?

YES! Just as God says.

If you believe Jesus was fully man when He was on earth, then He's the perfect example than man can be perfect. Him being God in the flesh doesn't take away from His humanity, otherwise you're saying He wasn't fully human.

I endeavor to live a sin free life. So long as I occupy this mortal body though, I still have a sin nature. Do I sin every day? I really don't know but I'm sure I still sin. My daily goal would be to live in accordance with the Word each day.

I don't let my sins weigh me down. Thanks to Jesus, I'm forgiven. I'm victorious in Christ not because of me, but because of Him.

If one is "in Christ", and they say they commit sin, doesn't that mean that there is sin in Christ ?

Again you bear false witness. I have no way of knowing whether anyone here is saved or not. I cannot see into anyone's heart. I'm not qualified to render such judgment.

The questions I asked were designed to open up individuals inside their own assumptions to the end that they might consider things heretofore not considered.

What past situation? When was he ever in a state where he considered the sin he committed not him doing it but sin dwelling in him doing it?

Why would he ever say something like that unless he was describing his sanctified state.

It doesn't make any sense the way your suggesting it.

I've gone far enough down your rabbit hole.

The sinless perfection doctrine is so damaging and deadly in so many ways, but one the most destructive ways, is that the “believers” don’t feel the convicting power of the Holy Spirit to confess their sin and a hatred of their sin.

They have somehow convinced themselves that any sin they commit isn’t really sin. This cheapens God’s demanded perfection.

No. The born again child of God is more sensitive than ever of their sin, and this realization makes him more easily open to the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.

Post 119 doesn't say that in any way. You're avoiding responsibility. You,are bearing false witness here.
This isn't questioning. This is accusation.

Your post #119

You can't explain how to brush your teeth to the glory of God. The reason you can't is because you have never considered it before. Hence, I have just demonstrated that you don't do all things to the glory of God. You have sinned. Rather than being led of the Spirit, as you say, and repent, you deny this truth. Another sin. You can't possibly be walking in the Spirit

Keep accusing. And then speak falsely to avoid responsibility. God sees you.
