"Family members who lost loved ones on 9/11 have started an online petition calling for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani not to attend the 25th 9/11 remembrance ceremony."

I don't blame them. I'd feel the same way if it were my family. I believe they have quite a few signitiures. Mandami has refused their request and says he will be at the memorial.

He'll be there,regardless. Guaranteed.

New Yorkers think they elected that Muslim Socialist into office. They think he will respect such a petition? No.
He will call them names for even suggesting such a thing .

Americans need to wake up to creeping Sharia in America.

Chicago witnessed not too long ago a huge crowd of Muslims marching and chanting, Chicago belongs to Allah!

That's not to be ignored.

This person has tainted the dignity of the memorial The names read at a 9/11 memorial are the voices of the dead, and Scripture teaches us to ‘weep with those who weep.’ and that grief belongs to God, not to politics ‘This moment is bigger than any official. Let’s return our focus to the families, the fallen, and the God who sees every tear.’ If we center the conversation on reverence rather than outrage, the temperature drops and the dignity of the memorial is restored IMHO.

Please stop.

Our concern is for the dignity of this ceremony. And our sympathies.

Condemning Devils is also necessary and of God.

Is that not what I just said?? Why the attitude? I agree with you and still attitude.
Why are you disrupting this thread? Your post wasn't agreement. It was judgement.

Again, please stop with your attitude. Gaslighting is a sin. STOP! IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.

I affirmed the dignity of the memorial, the grief of the families, and the need for reverence over outrage.
That is agreement, not disruption.
You responded by accusing me of “attitude,” “judgment,” and “gaslighting,” but none of those match what I actually said.
Scripture commands us to judge actions righteously (John 7:24), to guard our speech (Eph 4:29), and to avoid false accusations (Prov 19:5).
Calling out disrespect at a memorial is not condemning devils; it is honoring the dead. I am not opposing you, mocking you, or gaslighting you—I am agreeing with your concern for dignity while refusing to turn the thread into a personal fight. Let’s keep the focus where it belongs: the fallen, the families, and the reverence owed to a sacred moment. Wow.

Not to be speaking for someone else but I think the issue is that Mandami was asked by many of the family members not to attend the memorial. They did not believe that he would give it due respect considering the people he keeps company with. But he refused and said he would be attending anyway. Then for him to show up and be caught laughing at such a solumn ceremony proved the families point. It is political because of who he is and who his friends are. Families have a right to be outraged that he showed up and acted without decorum, and some of the things he has said an done are like rubbing salt in an open wound.

California State University. Enough said!
Indeed. Leftist brainwashing.
The new domestic terrorists.
When students protest in favor of Hamas right after the October attack on Israel, it isn't going to get any better.

Mommy and Daddy's money,well spent.

I'm not addressing the following to you personally or to anyone else in this thread...just quoting off your post. I'm surprised this thread did not get more traction than it did.

Not to mention the wanna be candidate for '28 laughing right along with him. You have to understand that it was Mandami's people who were the 9/11 pilots and now he is the mayor of the city in which they killed almost 3000 people in and aimed anothere plane at DC. Now when I say you have to undertand, I am being sarcastic. Nonetheless, that is where the truth lies.

He had himself sworn in as mayor by placing his hand on the Koran. He is almost giddy with the success of the way things are going.

Is he actually able to do all the things he promised? At the moment no, but who would have believed 25 yrs ago that a muslim would be the mayor of NYC and get sworn in with his hand on the Koran? I'll leave it there but Christans saying peace, love and forgiveness do not really understand what is happening right before their eyes, right under their noses..

Nobody, NOBODY with any understanding of the events was laughing. A muslim whose brothers killed thousands and wanted to kill thousands more, is laughing. A democrat who wants to be the next President if not in 28 then the next time, is laughing right along with him. I don't know what Hochul was doing, but she is not better since selling your soul for a political position is being a cheap
(fill in the blanks) .

There are real hard lines and alot of people still see them, but many see a blur and have lost the ability to discern evil right in front of them. This is real and really time to ask God to open your eyes and repent of an attitude that seems to wish to bestow God's grace on the devil himself.

Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

💯 Couldn't have said it better. If that was Benjamin Netanyahu laughing this post would have lit up. Too many Christians believe that there is little to no difference between Islam and Christianity. Check the threads, it's unreal. The saying is true, if it's not about the Jews it's not in the news. smh
