Golgotha, or Calvary, sits on the northwestern spur of the same ridge system as Mount Moriah — not a valley or far-off hill, but part of the limestone formation running through Jerusalem. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre stands over what many scholars think is the general location, though the exact rock face is debated due to Jerusalem’s repeated destruction and rebuilding.
It was outside the city walls (John 19:20), close to a main road, and high enough to be seen — all consistent with the ridge‑spur landscape.
When it comes to Jesus’ blood, Scripture doesn’t say His physical blood was taken to a temple altar. Instead, Hebrews tells us He entered the heavenly sanctuary with His own blood (Heb 9:12), showing that the real power of the sacrifice is in offering Himself, not in carrying blood to an earthly altar. The place matters for history, but the theology matters for salvation — the Lamb died on Moriah’s ridge, and the true atonement was presented in heaven.

The “abomination that causes desolation” (13:14) is a prophetic statement regarding the very serious death of Jesus (crucifixion) in the light of his rejection as Messiah by the leaders.
This translation from the LXX might provide some clarity. It seems to be saying that Christ will corrupt the city and temple with the coming ruler, which would be the Romans. The Greek word σύν (sun), which means together with, precedes "the one ruling".
And after the sixty-two periods of seven, the anointing shall be utterly destroyed, and judgment is no longer in it. And the city, and the holy place he shall corrupt with (σύν) the one ruling, the one coming, and they shall be cut off as in a flood, and he shall order in terminations until the end of war concisely. Daniel 9:26

This is another LXX translation that conveys the same idea. so in both cases it is Christ who destroys the temple and city with the coming (from Daniel's perspective) Roman rulers (prince).
And after the sixty-two weeks, the anointed one shall be destroyed, and there is no judgment in him: and he shall destroy the city and the sanctuary with the prince that is coming: they shall be cut off with a flood, and to the end of the war which is rapidly completed he shall appoint the city to desolations. In Matthew 24 Jesus makes a very unique mention to those listening. He said something that those who were there would be very familiar with. He said (remember Daniel) in reference to Abomination Desolation.
What's interesting about the reference to Daniel is the timing of when Daniel wrote this. It was not long after when a PIG was offered on the Temple altar by Seleucid king of Syria to force Hellenization in order to dedicate the sanctuary to Zeus.
So in the future when the Man of Sin commits we should remember the reference to Daniel.

Folks need to correct their teachings ASAP. Here are the facts of which I have just proven:
- The Abomination of Desolation was the Crucifixion
- All of Daniel 11 (and 12) have come to pass
- The Great Tribulation began in 70 AD and continues to this very day
- The Little Horn of Daniel 8 was the early Roman Empire, i.e., the Sixth Head of the Beast
- The 'King of Fierce Countenance' in Daniel 8 is King Herod
- King Herod is described in many later verses of Daniel 11
- The Little Horn of Daniel 7 is the future Antichrist we are still waiting on
- The Little Horn of Daniel 7 is the deadly wound that is healed, i.e., the 'Eighth head of the Seven'
- The movie 'Cleopatra' with Elizibeth Taylor depicts the era in which later verses in Daniel 11 take place
- Octavian, Mark Antony, Cleopatra VII, King Herod and of course Jesus are all major players in Daniel 11
- Even the Disciples, Apostles, followers of Christ are foretold in Daniel 11
- The fact that all of this was foretold years ahead of time should astonish anyone reading

I am not a debunker. I just go by what the Bible says and shows me..and Daniel is most obviously (prophecies) pointing to Jesus. And the ones Jesus told were about coming Kingdom...of HEAVEN, not an earthly one. A spiritual one as in one in the Holy Spirit.
Revelation does reference Daniel in some parts...but other books as well. Anyway...I can't go back or have time to read 7 pages of debunkment now.

Symbolizing the the kingdom of heaven coming down to earth.The veil was made of blue, purple, and scarlet material and fine twisted linen.
God made a way for us to have a personal relationship with him through his death, and symbolically the tearing of the temple veil reflects that.

There is no holy place for the future.. it was destroyed, so this entire eschatology falls apart on this one false notion.
