Hmm well saying "its like they are saying" if they never said that then .. what you said is just speciation.

No, there are people following reformed theology that are plainly saying they sin every day in thought word and deed and they also say they are sinners, and they say they cannot stop sinning.

Obviously these people don't know the Word of the Lord and are instead following made made religious traditions and philosophies instead of the Word of the Lord.

Christ died for our sins and sin no longer has a hold on us.

That's funny seeing so many christians are living in sin these days

They think they can keeping living in sin and still be saved. They do err.

If someone says they aren't sinning daily they are listening to their sinful flesh and lying to themselves and to God

You are describing what the Word of the Lord says are people of the devil

1 John 3:8 - He that committeth sin is of the devil
1 John 3:6 - Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1 John 5:18 - We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
1 Corinthians 15:34 - Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
1 John 2:1 - My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.

You you not aware the Lord said these things in His Word?

The problem with most people now is they don't follow and believe the Word of the Lord.
Instead they follow and believe whatever their church requires them to follow and believe which comes from made made religious traditions and philosophies and not the Word of the Lord.

Which comes first for you?
What your church tells you to believe or what the Word of Lord teaches?

You counter your own points.
"It is"..."It isn't" ???

They discuss the temple to be built at the return from Babylon.

It sure was built, and the book of Ezra records it.
The new temple was dedicated in Ezra 6.

It seems then, that you are a Judaizer, and must keep all 600 plus rules to be saved.
I will then remind you of what Paul wrote..."Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace." (Gal 5:1-4)

Good, I would hate to think you were anti-Paul's teachings regarding the end of the Law.

There is a whole other thread...but I will not derail this one.

You forgot the keeping of the Law, in the OT.

That was undicipherable...care to rephrase ?

I hate nobody.
The Jesus hating Jews were adamant in their adherence to the letter of the Law, while being ignorant of the Spirit of the Law.
The Law made nobody perfect, but the bringing of another hope did.

Rephrase, please.

Save it for another thread.
We are still supposed to keep the law. It's God's law and it isn't temporary. But since you think the book of Hebrews is incorrect, there's no point in continuing this discussion. I like to follow scripture, not debate that it's wrong somehow. But you are free to think there are parts of the bible that are wrong.

There are.
That is why Biblioidolatry is part of what has divided the body of Christ. The errant thought the Bible is inerrant.
God is inerrant. The Word,is inerrant.

The Book, obviously with many hundreds of versions,is not.

Think!
If The Word wanted to show us he is here, would he have asked fallen men, because they were born with human nature's,ego, first,to take dictation?
And look at how people comport themselves now thinking they understand what is written.

You have to know the grammatical tense of....

No,you're not applying the Greek correctly....

In the beginning was the word. And the word was with God. And the word was God!
Who became flesh and dwelt among us.

Even Emmanuel warned of looking for him in scriptures. John 5.

There he even told of the future Paul.

God is everywhere. He will bring his truth even in nature to show proof he exists,as Paul observed.

But thinking you only know God through the Bible is a mistake.

If God wrote a book,it would be one time. Understood by all. It would never change and would be eternal.

That book exists. It isn't on your bedside table.

Then truth is subjective and there's no way to figure out what is true. There's no point in studying scripture because you can't trust what God fearing people said to write it down. So who knows what salvation really is, because there's nothing we can rely on for truth. And if you say God will tell you, sure... but demons can also come to you in the same manner. How do you know which spirit gave you the info if you have nothing to compare it to?

This is all rhetorical. I'm not interested in debating with someone who thinks we can just toss parts of the bible out that we don't like, or disagree with.

God bless.

@Delvianna , I appreciate the prayers always .
Every Christian owes it to themselves to learn how the Bible came to exist.

Two terms Christians night care to pay attention to.

Apocrypha
Biblical Canon
Ecumenical Councils
What’s the point? Who knows whether what’s written is truth? Truth is subjective to you. Telling me to study how the Bible came to exist is also subjective, because whatever I find can still be accepted or disregarded based on what you personally believe is true. And I'm already well aware of how it came to exist.

You can think you’re correct, but it’s still subjective if you’re willing to disregard parts of Scripture and accept others. Because what you choose to believe can be wrong, and there’s no way to establish truth with someone who can simply disregard whatever is placed in front of them when it contradicts what they believe.

Again, God bless. There is literally no point in talking to you in this thread.

You're right.Youre admitting you're unbearable.

But you're fixated on that word,Subjective. So,there is that.

Biblioidolatry.
Don't wish God bless me,when you contain him to a man made book. And refuse to look further.

That's tragedy right there.
Won't be reading you anymore .

Is circumcision necessary for salvation ?
How about dietary rules ?
Feast keeping ?
The answer to all 3 questions, is NO.
So keeping all 600+ laws is not of the NT.

The Moral Law of God has not been abrogated. We still must keep the Moral Law of God as in loving God with all our being and our neighbor as ourselves.

All commandments are meant to be followed. ALL of them.

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail. - Luke 16:17

Christ said:
  • John 14:15 — “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
  • John 14:21 — “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.”
  • John 15:10 — “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.”
  • Luke 6:46 — “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?”
  • Matthew 7:21 — “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”
  • Matthew 28:20 — “Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.”
  • John 15:14 — “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.”

The law doesn't suddenly get ignored just because Christ died. Specially when Christ consistently pointed back to the law over a dozen times and quoted it. Even Christ himself says he didn't come to "Abolish" the law (Matthew 5:17-19). So if Christ didn't come to do away with the law, why are you trying to?

We are still supposed to keep the law.

No Christians are not called to follow the law of Moses.

In the New Testament, many mentions of “the law” is actually referring to Law of Christ (aka the Law of Liberty) and is not talking about the old testament law. Christians are NOT called to keep or live under the old testament law, but we ARE called to live under the Law of Christ.

Ultimately this means we are called to abide In Christ which is living after the Spirit and not after the flesh, or to be spiritually minded and not carnally minded (see Romans 8). As we see in Romans 8, to be spiritually minded is life and peace but to be carnally minded is death which is separation from the Lord.

Then truth is subjective and there's no way to figure out what is true.

That's what the devil is telling many.

The smart ones ignore the devil and accept God's Word, like all of it!

After what you just observed about the ot law?

Lord!
