Yes, I follow Paul, I believe I have the mind of Paul, and I named my son Paul,
but I worship God.

I note that you also follow Paul, citing two of his writings.

We should model our lives after both Jesus and Paul and other godly people, hopefully including our parents.

Sorry pal, I'm not an idolator
God predestined me to be conformed to the Image of Jesus Christ. Romans 8:29

Those trying to be conformed to the image of anybody other than Jesus are going to be shocked on judgement day to learn they are guilty of idolatry

I understand that you do not think Jesus revealed His "image" via Paul, yet you cite Paul.
Man, are YOU going to be shocked!

We have not discussed enough for me to discern whether your ignorance of 1Cor. 2:16 and 11:1. Please harmonize those with your previous understanding before we continue, along with what I said previously: "We should model our lives after both Jesus and Paul and other godly people, hopefully including our parents."

Yes, if in the end we find that the Apostle Paul is Lord and Savior - that would be shocking.

The devil is claiming we should follow anybody but Jesus.

You did understand that all Paul said was what the Holy Spirit told Him to say and the Holy Spirit got it from Jesus and Jesus got it from the Father, right?

It'll be interesting to see what happen to people that follow other people and don't follow the Lord.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God - Romans 8:14

Notice that's not the spirit of Paul. Did you see that?

I'm aware of those verses, and I'm also aware of other verses you are apparently ignorant of that instruct us to follow the Lord and put Him first place in our lives such as:

Ephesians 5:1 - Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children
Romans 8:29 - For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son not Paul

Looks like my scripture beat up your scripture! :)

Seriously though, you need to realize that Paul is a fallible man who made mistakes along the way.
The Lord makes NO mistakes so He's the model I'm following as the Lord has directed me according to scripture.

Those putting men before the Lord are practicing idolatry. I'll not be joining them.

The astute among us can see I advocated following Paul only in the sense indicated in 1Cor. 2:16 and 11:1,
which you continue to ignore and which obviously do not contradict Eph. 5:1 and Rom. 8:29.

Again, both-and harmonization is the key to a full understanding of God's Word/Scripture.
Sometimes it seems like the devil uses either-or illogic for the purpose of sowing division.

Yes and those accepting the entire new testament would know that we are called to follow the Lord.

Paul is not your pastor so you would be honoring Paul as a leader in your church only if living back then and belonged to one of the churches he was ministering to and came to speak in.

The Body of Christ is not called to follow Paul. We are called to follow the Lord Jesus.

No where in scripture do we see warnings concerning what happens to those who don't follow Paul, if they don't abide in Paul. We do however see warnings concerning what happens to those who do not follow and abide in Christ.

We are the Body of Christ, not the body of Paul.

1 Corinthians 3:4-9
For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

The NT teaches us to follow Jesus as Lord and to imitate mature Christians as good examples.
Actually, Paul is my main pastor following Jesus, and Jesus is my only Savior.

and the rest of what you said in your post.

Well Paul made errors and the Lord did not.

I'll take following Jesus over Paul any day.
