7th day sabbath?
Sabbath literally means 7th.
7 th day 7th?
The word sabbath means simply a day of rest.
In OT times they had other holidays and feast days and sanctuary services that were also called Sabbath days of rest.
But dated holidays never fell on the same day of the week year after year.

Sorry my wrong. I was confused.
You are correct about sabbath means rest.

Again on the 7th day. That's the pattern, cycle.

So all the passages in the New Testament that speak of the differences between men and women are all lies and should be removed from God's Word?

And if there is literally no male or female then you are OK with men marrying men and women marrying women and all good with people that claim to be of no gender at all?
You obviously do not read the entirety of my posts. If you did, you would know what I meant. The clue is "in Christ". I suggest that you read what I said instead of taking a phrase, which is in the Bible, out of context and making a false accusation.

The elder also addressed whether to command gentile believers to "keep the law of Moses"
The answer was no which covered observing Saturday sabbath as a requirement for salvation.

In the New Covenant it is NOT a sin for believers to not observe Saturday sabbath

If it was then the New Testament would contain warnings saying that not observing Saturday sabbath is a sin but no where in the New Testament do we see any such warnings
Hey there Scooter, one question, Do you delight in the Torah in your inner man? I do

For I delight in the Law of God after the inward man: Romans 7:22

Ezekiel 11:19-20
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

That they may walk in My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

The New Covenant is the Torah written upon a new heart that His people would be able to Keep it.

Hebrews 8:10 - Quoting Jeremiah 31:33
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith YHWH; I will put My Torahs into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them God, and they shall be to Me a people:

Lord Lord

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work Anomia. Matthew 7:23

Anomia = Without Law - Without Torah

The Greek word Anomia is found 13 times

Matthew 7:23 is the first time

The last two times Anomia is found

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4

Why will Jesus say unto Many that call Him Lord, I never knew you?

They were never born again, thus they were not able to keep the Law.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God neither indeed can be. Romans 8:7

False witnesses said Paul did not keep the Law-Torah after he was born again.

Acts 21:24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.

Paul did what was asked of him to prove he kept the Torah.

Can someone show me the lawless covenant in the scriptures for which YESHUA-JESUS is the Mediator?

Those that are New Creations Keep the Torah Because they are saved, Those that are not born again can't keep it.

He that began the work in the redeemed will complete it, and that is conforming them into the image of His Son, To walk as He walked,

How did YESHUA walk, He kept the Torah

Messiah-Christ is the Telos-End Goal of the Torah for Righteousness to all who believe. Romans 10:4

The Weightier matters of the Torah

Judgment Mercy and Faith

Without Torah, You have none of them

Matthew 23:23
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, Judgment, Mercy, and Faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Hey there Scooter, one question, Do you delight in the Torah in your inner man? I do
King David said that he loved God's law. It did not stop him from being a murdering adulterer.

Job was a most righteous man. There was no one like him. "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright ... a man who fears God and shuns evil."

He was not an Israelite and he was not subject to God's law. God's law was given to Israel. The law does not apply to Gentiles.

The Torah makes no one righteous. It demands compliance that no one but Lord Jesus achieved. And Lord Jesus made it harder, not easier, to live according to God's righteous demands.

Acts 15: 10 & 11
Now then, why do you test God by placing on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? On the contrary, we believe it is through the grace of the Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

"For through the law I died to the law so that I might live to God." Galatians 2:19. What laws apply to dead people?

But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code." Romans 7:6.

"All who rely on works of the law are under a curse. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.” The law, however, is not based on faith; on the contrary, “The man who does these things will live by them.” Galatians 3: 1-12

When you follow the law, you are not living by faith. That means that you are not pleasing God.

"Before this faith came, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian." Galatians 3:23-25

The law does not save us and neither does it make us righteous. "Whoever keeps the whole law, but stumbles at just one point, is guilty of breaking all of it." James 2:10

"But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law." Galatians 5:18

"For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." Romans 8:14

Romans 7 for those that know is in regards to the law that pertains to divorce and re-marriage

Romans 7:1

Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Jeremiah 3:8
And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.

3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;

4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

The law was given to Israel. How quickly some demand that Gentiles are put under the Law that Israel failed to obey. I have nothing to say to Messianic believers, unless they seek to impose the law on me.

I fully accept that the Church has not replaced Israel. The church has failed to obey the great commission and it will be completed by 144,000 Israelites and the two witnesses. God promised to maintain the nation of Israel as long as the sun rose and moon orbited the earth. However, I eat what I please and I attend formal church on Sunday.

After the great tribulation, the nations will be governed by the Lord Jesus as He rules and reigns from Jerusalem. Psalm 2 refers to that time, so I believe.

Why don't you attend church on Monday or Tuesday, etc?
Because the indoctrinated teachings of your church says Sunday?
So you follow what your church teaches.

No one is trying to impose Saturday worship on you.
But the history of Sunday keeping churches is full of such examples.
From fines, imprisonment, anathema, even death sentences.

Rev 1:10 does not say the Lord's day is on the first day of the week.

You should read Acts 2:46. The early Christians gathered together EVERY day to worship God. Acts 20:7 says nothing about the first day of the week replacing the 7th day sabbath.
The gathering for worship and breaking bread on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2)—culminated in John's use of the established title "the Lord's day" in Revelation 1:10
So yes, the "Lord's Day" in Revelation 1:10 describes the first day of the week (Sunday), which is celebrated as the Christian Sabbath or New Testament Sabbath.

Acts 2:46 does not describe the Lord's Day or a formal corporate celebration of the Lord's Supper, but rather describes an informal, daily pattern of household fellowship and meals during the unique post-Pentecost period in Jerusalem.

In Acts 20:7, the disciples and early Christians gathered on the first day of the week (Sunday) because Christ's resurrection transformed it into the Christian Sabbath or the Lord's Day, fulfilling the moral requirement of the 4th commandment.

One day in seven is set apart as holy time for rest and worship. This requirement originates in creation (Genesis 2) and remains binding. The exact calendar day (seventh vs. first) can be altered by divine authority. From Christ's resurrection until the end of the world, the Christian Sabbath is the first day of the week.

Sunday marks the "new creation" just as the seventh day marked the old creation. Sunday is not a rejection of the Fourth Commandment, but it is its proper New Covenant expression.

I'm glad you see the sabbath as a moral law rooted in creation.

But the error is that the bible does not support a change from the 7th to the first day of the week.

Jesus did rise on the first day. But this is no reason to change the commandment given by God. Jesus rested on the sabbath.

The deciples gathered on the first day and on every day. This is not grounds to change the law of God.

Study history and the early church kept the sabbath 7th day Holy. But hatred for the Jews caused pagan romans to dislike sabbath keepers..

The Lord's day..... the new Testament refers to Sunday or the first day ....

Mat 28:1
Mark 16:2 and 9.
Luke24:1
John 20:1.
These refer to the Sunday when Jesus rose.

Joh 20:19 this sunday they were Assembled for fear of the Jews.. and came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Act 20:7
And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them,
This Sunday they had Paul preach to them. No indication that the sanctified day from creation has changed..
People preach every day of the week.

1Co 16:2
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
This does not mean it was the sabbath..
It shows that Paul didn't want gathering to happen when He came.

The Lord's Day is only mentioned in Rev 1:10.

There is lots of evidence to show this is not Sunday. Firstly when John was referring to Sunday he always used the "first day". And when you look at bible verses and context there no proof that this is referring to Sunday.
Mar 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

The Catholic church claims full responsibility for the change from Saturday to Sunday.
The gospel verses you mention above, were speaking about the time before the resurrection. And Sunday had not yet replaced Saturday as the Christian Sabbath.

I can't think of any scriptures that would support Sabbath keeping after the resurrection. The book of Acts shows the disciples meeting on the first day of the week. The Lord Jesus accepted their Sunday worship service, because He is the Lord of the Sabbath. The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath.

What about murder, theft, adultery, worshiping idols, cursing God?
Is this Old Covenant?
What you mention is wrong, whether or not there is a covenant. There is nothing wrong, outside of a covenant, about working on Saturday. Because the fourth commandment is listed among the others, people mistakenly believe that it carries the same moral weight as the others. But this is a mistake. Jesus taught us to classify certain laws and commandments as being more weighty than others. For instance, he said that mercy and justice carried more weight than tithing, though his people were required to do both.

I suppose we could explore this more if you have questions.

You have no biblical evidence.

As I stated above Rev 1:10 does not say the Lord's Day is the 1st day of the week. Nor does it mention that the 1st day of the week is now the Christian sabbath. I believe Rev 22 has warnings about adding in words into that book that are not there.

Again, As I stated above Acts 2:46 shows the apostles and early Christians assembling on EVERY day of the week to praise God and eat a communal meal together.

Acts 20:7 is no different than any other day of the week they assembled except for one thing. Paul was about to go on a journey and wanted to say a few things before he left. Some of his journeyings lasted for months. There is no hint in Acts 20:7 that this was kept as a weekly sabbath nor is it called the "Lord's Day".
BTW this was a nightly meeting, Paul preached until midnight. Back in bible times a new day started at sunset. This was (what we would call today) a Saturday night meeting and Paul would leave "on the morrow" (AKA the following sunrise) to start his journey. Paul began his journey Sunday morning.

I Cor 16:2 does not even describe a Sunday meeting nor does it state this was the "Lord's Day".
Paul was planning on passing through Corinth and wanted the Christians in that city to already have their gatherings ready for when he got there. He asked them to take the time on the 1st day of the week to gather those offerings. He knew he would not make it to Corinth on the 1st day of the week.

You really need to read/study the texts for yourself rather than parroting the teachings of religious leaders. They have simply taken the phrase "first day of the week" out of the context and redefined those verses to mean a weekly Sunday worship which none of texts actually say.

BTW there are over 80 different weekly Saturday sabbath mentioned in the book of Acts alone kept by both Jews and Gentiles.
Which specifically show a weekly sabbath day kept for teaching and worship.
Would you like those references?

You do not understand what "no difference" means. In Christ there is neither male or female. I'm not sure that the ladies of your church would be OK with you using their bathroom.

You replied to someone who said this:
"God is not a respecter of persons. There is no difference between Jew and Greek if you belong to Christ.
In fact, we have been grafted on. We are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. Even if we not of his physical bloodline"

Your reply to this person was:
"You do not understand what "no difference" means. In Christ there is neither male or female. I'm not sure that the ladies of your church would be OK with you using their bathroom"

My reply was for clarification concerning the quote "In Christ there is neither male or female"

Many use this to claim women can be pastors, teachers, and over men in authority. And others use it to claim all genders can marry and be physically intimate and some people claim to have no gender at all (the gay perversion stuff)

So tell us plainly - do you use Galatians 3:28 to accept women pastors and teachers being in authority over men and do you use Galatians 3:28 to accept sexual perversion claiming Christians can be perverts?

Hey there Scooter, one question, Do you delight in the Torah in your inner man? I do

I delight in the Law of Christ as taught in God's written Word, not the law of moses which Jesus took away and replaced with the Law of Christ

For I delight in the Law of God after the inward man: Romans 7:22

That is the Law of Christ for the New Covenant believer, not the law of Moses.

The New Covenant is the Torah written upon a new heart that His people would be able to Keep it.

Minus the law of Moses. If you are following the law of Moses you are fallen from grace like the Galatians.

Those that are New Creations Keep the Torah Because they are saved

So when you sin, what kind of animal do you whack to cover your sins?

Without Torah, You have none of them

There is no salvation without the New Covenant with Jesus Christ alone as High Priest

Those following the Torah seem to not be accepting the New Covenant. Big mistake!

Well, others are not me. I've been on this forum for 5 years. So of course you do not know what my views are. Like those who like to twist scripture by taking it out of context and in isolation, you grab a few words that I've said and ignore everything else that I've said. God's word is clear. I believe what God's word has to say. So no, same sex relationships are not God's will.

"in Christ" means the spiritual aspect of the believer. There are obviously differences in the natural. Not everyone is a pastor or an elder or a prophet. In the spiritual realm, those distinctions do not exist. God created us male and female. In the spiritual realm, those distinctions do not exist.

Believers still have to live in this natural world. So natural distinctions exist. In heaven, there are no such distinctions. I point you to 1 Corinthians 6:9 to know my view on what is unacceptable to God.

The Church that meets on the first day of the week has spread the gospel over most of the world. There are vast numbers of saved people who would be eternally lost if they had not heard the gospel. The SDA cult did not show up until the 19th century. The great men of faith, some of whom died for their testimony to Christ, changed whole societies. Wesley, Bunyan, Wycliffe, Whitfield, Edwards, Spurgeon just to name a few were among the greats. They all worshiped on Sunday.

SDA is a dead religion that has nothing whatever to offer the real Church. Meeting on the sabbath has no spiritual value at all. As long as Christians meet, it is clear from God's word that the day is unimportant. You reject God's word and make an idol out of the sabbath. Any honest reading of the Bible refutes your false claims.

Not for Gentile believers. There is a case for Jewish believers to observe the Sabbath, but I do not agree with it. There is no case whatsoever for Gentile believers to obey the Sabbath law.

Acts 15:10 & 11
Now then, why do you test God by placing on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? On the contrary, we believe it is through the grace of the Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

Galatians 3: 23-25
"Before this faith came, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.…"

You are still being led around by the guardian of the law. Either you are born again and so immature that you do not realise that you don't need a guardian or you have yet to come to Christ. If ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest of people.
Why ....
The Spirit and the moral law do not controdict each other. The Holy Spirit and the character of God are one.

To say you follow the Spirit of God and wilfully transgress the law is a contradiction..

Rom 8:1-4
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Walking after the Spirit = following the law.
Walking after the flesh = not following the law.

You are transgressing the law when you ignore the command .... Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.

The law does not save us. Faith saves but that faith leads us to follow the Spirit not reject it.

Your whole post did not answer my question.

Are we saved from sin by removing the law or by the blood of Jesus paying for the debt of transgressing the law?

And remember when the type meet antitype those shadow laws were remove and did become void.
