My church. A couple of years before i returned to the church i grew up in as a child, a new pastor had started. The preacher before him had built the church up and it was thriving in all ways, (except financialy, thats why he left) but now the church has dwindled down to a faithful few.
I had a burden on my heart for this church a few years before i actually returned.....I don't think God brought me back to watch a church die.

Ooooh I wanna see that movie sooo bad!!!
Hope this doesn't cause a derail, BOY was it good! I sat there grinning the first 20 minutes of it, I would explain why, but I don't want to spoil it. I kinda got this feeling of contentment, almost like I was back home~ the songs, the characters and scenes. Definitely would see it again soon.

I have many soft spots in my hearts, and I cry if you touch them.

That said, long-sacrificial acts of deeply passionate and tender love, as occasionally (or often) portrayed in stories, movies, ext...well, the really powerful ones get to me.

Honestly, not just the tragedies, but the cute & happy-love movies, too. Not to sound depressed or anything, but I've often found them hard to watch...though I do anyway. ^^

[h=2]I have a soft spot in my heart for:_________[/h]For Homeless people who go to church and finally find a place where they are accepted. For people who are addicted to drugs and want to badly to know what it is to be loved by someone with no strings attached, no expectations. For children who have no parents, or who are neglected by their family. For elderly people who have no physical family left, but they just want someone to talk to. I have a soft spot for many things =)

I have a soft spot in my heart for:

-Kids/people who are bullied. It doesn't even matter if I don't agree with your "lifestyle", bullying is unacceptable. By the disagreeing part, I mean I get so angry when I read stories of, say, a homosexual teen who is beat up in a McDonald's simply because they are gay and no one does anything about it. I'm not much of a fighter, nor do I have an aggressive spirit, but those kind of stories make my hackles rise.

-Children. Especially when they laugh, and especially when they want to hold my hand or be held

-The Lakota/Native Americans/any oppressed people

-Elderly couples who still show tender love to each other

-Old dogs. I think puppies/kittens are cute and fun, but there's just something about an older dog that tugs at my heartstrings.

-People who are crying. I just want to help them and let them cry on my shoulder. Especially when I see men cry, and especially when I see my dad or my brother cry.

-People who feel like they are worth nothing and feel down on themselves

Just a few examples. I'm just a big 'ol softie.

Animals. I will have a bigger reaction to something being done to an animal than I will a human as far as movies or television. Like for a human, it would be an eight or nine, but for an animal.. At least 10+. Like in due date, he spat on the dog as a joke, and I walked out of the theater. Not saying in cold toward humans, but you get the idea. Something just enrages me when I see an animal being mistreated.

Children and teens that have ADHD, or other mental differences that affect social life.

People who feel like no one understands them.

Baby animals.

Trees.

Cute bugs. (I try not to kill bugs, even ugly ones, unless I have no other option, lol.)

Cats. :)

Most animals.

And also some romantic goo that I won't sicken you all with. ;)

Idiots. It's not their fault they're really, really dumb.

Then I remember I have nothing there to be soft.

Scented candles melt my heart.
When the baby you are holding looks at you with a huge smile plastered on their face. So adorable! :)
Helping others and making a difference in my community brings me joy.
Horses- I love these powerful graceful animals.

I have a soft spot definitely for the underdog or any who feels left out, picked on, or any of those things we have all felt from time to time. My soft spot is for anyone who is different and feels bad or less than because they aren't "the norm." Also for people with scars on the inside and out. These people are my peeps :D

-Animals. (Especially ducks)
-Those are who bullied and otherwise singled out.
-Those who feel that they're worthless.
-Children who really seek after God and take their faith seriously.
-When a young daughter runs to her father and reaches for his hand as they're walking.
-Watching the underdogs overcome their circumstances.
-People who are crying.

People who have been/are bullied, especially because they're bookish and nerdy, or just don't fit in (there's still no "It Gets Better" campaign for the nerds and the shy)
The loners, the misfits, the outcasts, the disadvantaged
Those who fall through the cracks and have a tough time getting up

I have a soft spot for...

People who are abused/bullied/taken advantage of/made fun of/attacked for being different, sticking up for themselves, being shy, being nerdy. Anyone who needs to be defended, has a champion in me.

For females who genuinely see themselves as ugly or worthless.

For people who have been abandoned.

For those who are new in Christ.

For those who are friendless and question whether or not they're loved.

People by the side of the road changing a tire. If I can conceivably get away with stopping, I do. Partially because I like changing tires and have a wealth of experience that includes how to overcome the unexpected when doing this task. Now days, though, my schedule is usually too tight for me to be able to make the time and still do things like pick the kids up from after school care before incurring a late fee, or make it to an appointment with my lawyer on time.

People who are immigrants. That is a big challenge to take on - legal or not. (Let's not spark the immigration debate, though, OK?)

Kids that lack peers (this could be for a variety of reasons, so be like Chef on this one). Let's face it, we grow up to be adults with limited peers. Ultimately, though, we find a few of each other online it seems. As a side note, if I ever do get arrested and go to trial for anything I challenge them to find 12 persons that are in fact my actual peers.
